I can imagine the reasons why the “Halloween Party” will be cancelled because of the controversy over the origin of Halloween.
Especially for those parents with religious background, it is debatable whether the “Halloween Party” should be held at school or not?
If you can recall some of the discussion on e-class 2-3 years back, there was rather fierce debate on this event at that time.
But personally, I think it is okay to hold “Halloween Party” as just a fun party for the kids without probing too much on its origin.

As for the “Multi-Cultural Day”, it is not controversial at all and I am quite disappointed to know that it will not be held shortly.

Will some of the events be very similar to “Halloween Party” or “Multi-Cultural Day” but just with the name changes or will the activities be totally new?
We’ll see.
