不用緊張, 只有兩個簡單的遊戲和單對單問一些生活題, 校長在簡介會說過, 她們只看小朋友的談吐和禮貌.

Don't worry. I went by myself last year coz my husband was out of town as well. And the result is my son is now in P.1 (no relation and my son told me he was interviewed by teachers)

別一直去考慮有無見到校長或副校長...
我覺得學校應該是分工合作
校長跟副校長一起接見孩子

我想若是你要校長接見2200學生
應該很困難/一個月也處理不完...
難道她不用上班處理校務嗎?

Thank you. I didn't attend any briefing section and so didn't know what's on it.

The interview wasn't that long, it's only 30 minutes in total. As there were only 5-6 kids in the room (judged by the no. of parents waiting outside), I guessed the individual interview time was only 5 minutes.

My husband is an old boy of the secondary section.

Hi Jen2008,

Since your husband is an old boy, your daughter should have met the principal. As per the Principal said in the briefing session, you should belong to the related group and will have a high chance of success. They will take max of 70% of the place, i.e. 105 places.

I don't think the chance is great as my daughter is a Sept premature girl. The school loves big kids. I just want to give her another chance as without looking at the interview performance, she is a bit privileged.

Every year, there are quite a few 'related' applicants cannot go into second interview.

If parents are old boys of the secondary section & not the primary section, would the child still be counted as related?
Government schools do not count them as related - just wonder whether DSS are different.

I agree with your assumption. Our session was at 9:10 am and there were already have 7 pairs of parents sitting there when we arrived. We then saw the principal went into the room at around 9:05 am. Then the kids one by one coming out and the interval was around 5-10 mins per kid and our kid came out from the interview room after around 50 mins. Our kid said that he was in the principal's office for about 10 mins.

But my case is not that:
We arrive 30 min earlier, then go inside immediately. My kid was inside for a total of 1 hour 40 minutes. 4 to 5 children who go inside later than my kid came out 20-25 minutes earlier than my kid one by one.

my kid attended the interview last Saturday's morning. It took about 35 minutes and there were about 5 to 6 pairs of parents waiting outside by that time. I believe the one-to-one interview with the principal was about 5 minutes per kid. As told by my kid, no story telling from the principal.
