dear all,

any comment for this KG?  I live in TKO and seem it is too far to go to this KG.  The attraction is "一條龍" school.  but i am not sure if their primary school and secondary is 直資 or private.  what is the percentage to promote to primary and secondary school?  actually, I don't have any idea for this school.  Can you share?

by the way, when will they conduct interview and distribute application form?

MY daughter will be attending this kindergarten in coming September.  The primary school has two sections, AM (Private) and PM (Gov't Aided).  SHCK girls should be 100% going to AM section if you want.  The PM section is under the lottery system but SHCK girls would help when knocking the door.

The application last year was submitted in early December, where the application forms are ready in their homepage in November.  Interview was organized in early January.

It's a good kindergarten and I recommend it.  It was our first choice and it's happy for my daughter to be admitted, especially she likes it a lot too!

many thanks for your prompt reply and information.  

as my girl was born in Nov, 06, i am thinking if she is suitable to repeat K1 (only two KG accept her this year).  Therefore, i want to let her apply K1 again in this year.

By the way, do you know the school fee in their primary and secondary school?  I am afaid i cannot afford if the school fee increase every year.

In addition, can you share the interview experience in this year?

do you know if there is any school bus to TKO?  Actually, I found there is a girl also study in SH in my building but her mother bring her to school everyday (leave TKO at 0730, seem so poor).  I am still thinking if it is worth to let my girl go to KG which is far away from home.

If your daughter was born in Nov., 06, may be you can consider trying to apply K2 next year also.  Actually many of the children accepted by SHKG are small Bs (mine is August and I know quite a few girls are even younger) so there are no need to repeat K1.

I only know the private primary school fee was $20,000 a year for 07-08 from this web site.

Let me ask my friend who's daughter just finished P1 this year and update you later.  For secondary school, it's gov't aided so no school fees thru F.3 and won't be too expensive afterwards.  That's also what I like about this school.  There are no needs to put too much financial burden on the parents and get good quality education.  Especially for my case which we have two daughters so it seems to make more sense for us.

I suggest you to go through this forum in bk here which the SHCK parents share their experience to hear more about the interview last year.  It shouldn't be too hard.  My tips is don't hand in the application form too early unless your daughter is only in good shape very early in the morning.

Concerning the transportation, many parents in TKO will choose to take the daughters to North Point MTR station and take the school bus there.  Another option is to take nanny bus which is already operating from TKO to SHCK.

Really many thanks for your comment.

Actually, i am going to let my girl to become "big girl" as many of my friends share their experience that it would be better to become "big girl / son".  It is much easier to catch up and let them hv confidence.   To me, i think it is worth to repeat K1 in other kindergartens which has primary and secondary section.  However, the competition will be higher than last year as it is golden pig BB.

The most important is that I need to discuss with my husband as he does not like to let kid goes to school in such far away location.

Wish your girl has a happy and enjoyable school life in SH.
