我的孩子今年九月升K3, 亦要準備報小學. 他有學琴, 游泳, 溜冰, 亦有參加過一些朗誦及音樂比賽, 究竟有沒有幫助?

究竟DBDS喜歡哪類型的男生?

面試時, 除了要大膽, 有創意外, 還有什麼要訣?

各位有經驗的男拔家長請賜教!

For last year -

10 boys in a group would go up to a classroom, which has toys/ games/books to keep them entertained.  A teacher and a couple of prefects would be there to keep an eye on them Then each would be called to meet 2 teachers (together) on a one to one basis.

The teachers would ask very basic questions first like your name, which kindergarten..etc. and then a teacher would play a story CD (with music so it could be rather distracting) in the chosen language as indicated in your application form.  My son had to listen to the story and answered some qestions afterwards (I think about 3-4 questions).  

After that, he was given a piece of paper with lots of shapes on it and there was also a pile of alphabets with different colours.  The teacher then told him to select 2 blue letters, 2 purple letters and 1 green letter and put them in the semi-circle, the triangle and the rectangle. My son said you have to listen to all the instructions first before you could start picking up the letters.

Then the teacher asked him to make up a word using a letter "B" or sth like that.

There might be one other item, but I couldn't remember now. Sorry...  He then joined all those who had finished with their interviews in another room to watch DVD!! It think it was Buzzlightyear last year and don't be surprised if that's all he could remember afterwards!

Not from previous experience, unless you have opted for Putonghua as your language for the interviews.

You are most welcome!  I've read in another thread suggesting the boy should go to the bathroom beforehand. I think that's a good idea too.  But do let your boy know if he really needs to go to the bathroom, the prefects are there to help so he shdn't worry abt it and he shd just go and tell those 'gor-gor'.

Many thanks Chatterbox.  Did your son is intreview for English?? If I chose the cantonese, the content is not the same?

Yes. But as far as I know, form and contents were largely the same, at least for last year.

Thank you. Do you think / have any idea about the importance of choosing interview language. i.e. interview in Eng. Lang. have much higher chance be accepted by DBS?

My son joined eng session yesterday. After interview, his name lable was sticked with a small red label.  It means he will be accepted or not? thanks.

It seems like  every child got the red sticker. I might just meant that the interview has been completed on that occasion on the child. My son got one too and I looked around and every one got it.

我個仔那個sticker係綠色的, 仲有好奇怪, 我問番個仔入去老師問過佢d嘜, 我問咗佢好多次, 佢都話入去只係全班小朋友一齊睇荒失失奇兵, 老師完全無問過佢地任何一條問題, 係一條都無....成班小朋友只有一個被老師叫出去問野...佢話好boring...睇完獅子亞力就走了....我唔知係咪真...如果係真的話...可能DBS只係求其話IN. 晒所有人...但實在只接見個D有Background或屋企人係OLD BOY個d小朋友.
