點解我個仔d phonics唔記得哂架?

佢幼雅園有學過phonics,但係每次同佢黙生字,佢都唔識用番出黎,好似未學過咁,而家唯有死背,好唔好比佢再學過呢?但係佢己經8歲,會唔會太遲呢?

當然唔會太遲.英文字唔可以死記.況且多數幼稚園的併音都不夠,比較深的字係併唔倒,況且你小朋友當時細,佢未必可以掌握倒.

我教囡囡時，覺得要她多讀多看英文書，phonics 慢慢先可以運用得好一點。

我聽人講letterland phonics, 係每個sound 都有個故事, 小朋友好易記.

我都知道睇得多英文書好d,但係佢唔會自動自覺睇,都唔知點培養好.

請問有冇人知邊間學phonics好呢?

我教我的囡囡 Jolly Phonics…的，圖書館有得借書。

至於出面學，油麻地YMCA有得學，不過好貴，全部學晒要過萬嫁 。

買一套套教材之前仲要考慮哪一種適合小學生呢?

您說仔仔幼稚園時曾學phonics，是哪一套呢?  會否有適合的進階課程配合?

如果為了默書而學phonics，坊間有些learning centre是專攻這科的。

我自己的經驗反而是phonics能夠幫助閱讀(英文書)，可以read on his own。不過一定要經歷家長伴讀，小兒由k1開始學jolly phonics，到最近停課在家(k2)，我將所有之前伴讀的英文書(level 1-3)拿出來，他會挑戰自己--read on his own (少少協助)。暫時他未經歷過默書不知phonics的影響有多大，但他閱讀的進度肯定有幫助。

上了小學,小朋友學的生字,不止是一個音節了.小朋友如有phonic 的基礎,便能更容易記和看英文生字. Phonic 是要不斷的練習才有用.

學英文外國教材一向都不注重背書，利用活動生動圖片來幫助記憶，學 Phonics 要有老師教，多運用就會活用活學。

如果我無記錯 Teaching Guild 的內容，Jolly 提出小朋友五歲開始學，亦是提出英文應該由 Phonic 開始學發音，不應該先學 ABCD...發音。

信不信自己想。

You are right.  

In addition, we need to let our kids know that phonics doesn't work for exceptions such as "tortoise", "island", etc.  When my son was reading a book the other day, he pronounced "parachute" as "pa-ra-choot".  Then I read the word again in the correct way (i.e. ending "shoot") and explained that it's of French origin.

Well, in our case, we exposed our son to phonics when he's only a toddler.  He did not go to phonics classes, but watched some phonics VCDs.  He's K1 but likes reading books a lot (for English, he likes Oxford Reading Tree and Magic School Bus). I believe that the main clue is to encourage the kids to read.  Fortunately, the language environment and teaching method of his kindergarten also help achieve this goal.

Yesterday, he picked the Magic School Bus' "volcanoes" again.  He just loved it very much (he likes exploring with Ms Frizzle, a main character in the book series).

英文字裹有很多 Tricky Words 的，即係無得 Phonic ，只可以死記。
