殺一儆百, 有何不可? 至少要讓家長明白, 幼稚園有權根據教育條例收取符合規定的收費, 那些欠費家長, 又有沒有辦法證明幼稚園濫收費, 又或者沒根據教育局指示辦學? ...

補習班拒退款家長投訴

【本報訊】多間學校、補習社及興趣班因豬流感疫潮而停課，令家長措手不及。消費者委員會至今接獲七宗豬流感相關的家長投訴，全部因家長與主辦單位就課程取消退款或延期與否引起爭拗。該會發言人表示，會了解事件及協助投訴人調停，若未能退款，會盡量爭取把課程延期。

批評教局指引不清晰
本報接獲多名家長投訴稱，其所屬補習社等停課，家長要求終止或順延課程，但不獲受理。蔡太向本報表示，擔心升中二的女兒感染豬流感，因此希望終止補習，但有關補習班不肯退款或順延課程，只提議一對一補習，減低感染風險，「一對一我又唔想，放暑假唔想個女太大壓力。希望補習社彈性處理，但係佢話如果六月唔交學費，就發律師信告我。」
蔡太引述消委會稱，成功爭取退款的機會渺茫。她批評教育局對坊間補習社應否停課或順延的指引不清晰，引起不必要混亂。
消委會發言人表示，七宗豬流感相關投訴中，包括 playgroup、補習班、鋼琴班、校巴及遊學團等，涉及費用 1,000元至 6,000元。

actually, EDB has forewarned kindergartens, primary schools, etc well on 12 May that there may be a possibility to suspend the school if there is any local case (http://www.edb.gov.hk/FileManager/TC/Common/letter_to_sch_20090512_chi.pdf).

if the kindergarten has any well planning, they should be able to arrange a much better continguency during the school suspension.

If a kindergarten thinks that it has already done its best by simply opening the kindergarten during school suspension, I personally don't think this is a responsible kindergarten and I don't think kindergartens doing the "minimum" work is still justified to get the "full" pay.
