講開考試，我認識很多讀傳統學校的家長都會於孩子考試周請假以便為孩子溫習。這個情況，鮮有在蔡繼有聽聞，反而蔡繼有的家長會為孩子參與學校的各項活動而請假。

Pr1 - Pr 3 活動教學
Pr4 - Pr6 傳統教學
每年二次考試, 還有測驗不計入成績表分數

Hi Marians,
Which school's your kid studying?  CKY or St. Mary's?  Since you mention exam, I thought it should be St. Mary's, right?   My daughter & I are both Catholics.  Belows are questions that I want to know:
1) What do you think about the school in general?
2) Hard to adapt?
3) Teachers and sisters are good?
4) Heard that English subject is difficult.  Are the students strong in written only or oral as well?
5) Frequency of exams and dictations?
6) Do students quit the school or seldom the case?
7) Do they have Lesbians?
8) Do they have after scool extra-activities to join?
9) Normally, when would your daughter finish her homework every night and go to bed?
10) Can they be free to play during weekend?
I'm afraid I got too many to ask and please don't get angry of some of my funny questions.

First of all, I am a past student and my girl is studing in Pr 5.  I would like to use Chinese wordings to reply your following questions.  If i have not enough time, I will edit my message later:


1) What do you think about the school in general?

一間好學校, 閱讀氣氛也好, 宗教氣氛濃

2) Hard to adapt?

只要家長肯跟進小朋友溫習, 應該無問題, 不能把責任完全放在老師身上

3) Teachers and sisters are good?

非常有愛心, 有耐性, 高班老師比較嚴格

4) Heard that English subject is difficult.  Are the students strong in written only or oral as well?

From Pr 1, they will use grade 2 books, no problems at all.  Frankly speaking, students' grammer writing are much better than oral (this is what I think)

5) Frequency of exams and dictations?
每年有2次考試, 幾次測驗不計入成績表

6) Do students quit the school or seldom the case?

我吾清楚, 聽小女講好似有一個, 吾知原因

7) Do they have Lesbians?

吾知道, 小學階段點會有這方面問題, 到了中學, 男仔女仔又驚搞大肚, 女校又驚搞lesbians, 邊到驚得咁多

8) Do they have after scool extra-activities to join?

有, 幾十款, 有些要收費 (eg volin, 敲擊樂, 中國舞) 自由參加, 有些免費 (由老師教的; 學校指定的)

9) Normally, when would your daughter finish her homework every night and go to bed?

不用誓心, 初小應該 1to 1.5 hr will finish homework.
Most probably she went to bed by 10:00 from Pr1 to Pr 3.
Nowadays, she goes to bed by 10:30pm every night.


10) Can they be free to play during weekend?

講真, 初初她都好得閒, 成日去玩, 四年級開始比較忙, 放假很小去玩, 多休息, 多課外閱讀, 多謝學校培養小女喜歡睇書,中英都啱, 漫畫我也不拘, 所以圖書館是常去的

選擇學校, 撇開學費, 我會考慮學校的理念和信仰背景, 周圍環境, 將來升學問題, 會否去外國定係留港讀大學(假定讀得上)

女兒從沒有參加功輔班, 因我是全職媽咪, 我還有一個仔所以全力照顧家庭, 跟進功課。自動波是指溫書定做功課？現今小朋友要自動溫書應付考試好難的, 都是要監管, 不過女兒做功課好乖, 每日放學都拿拿林做, 吾駛催, 間中幫我看弟弟功課 (k3)

I don't see any urgency you have right now. because I remember you have CKY offer for long time ago but you still attempted MCS in the first round and then tried St Mary in the second round. You have already had more than 6 months to consider to choose between international schooling and traditional schooling..

Your attempts already reflect your preference.

其實都無mud特別, 初小時我會買定鍾意的小食或麫包, 放學回來給她吃, 洗下臉, 換校服便開工, 如果快做完就放卡通片睇, 無論睇幾奈 6:00 要收卡通, 跟我睇新聞, 新聞的資訊都好重要, 她為了有好小食, 有卡通睇就會趁快做好功課, 每晚7:00 吃飯 8:00 前 check 功課, 然後溫習, 默書.. 等

現家大個了, 功課比較忙, 佢自己知分配時間做功課彧停下休息, 吾駛叫
