RC does not exactly have chinese class everyday.
In secondary, sometimes they have double lessons. But the classes should still add up to 5 classes per week.
In primary, I am not sure but I think they also have 5 classes per week.

KCIS. In reception class, half hr every day. In primary school, P1 has around 45 mins music class taught in mandarine. Starting from P2, additional chinese culture class taught in mandarine (i.e. music + chinese culture).

My boy will be in P1 in coming sept, so I cannot tell you about the homework  etc...

Mandarin is the fourth core curriculum subject which is offered, and reading, writing, speaking and listening skills are taught by fully qualified Mandarin speaking teachers. Lessons are between 40 - 60 minutes daily. In addition, Primary 1 has a weekly Music lesson, and Primary 2 - 6 have an additional Chinese Culture lesson, both taught by the Mandarin teachers.

Don't know about upper primary but my year 2 son has single Chinese lessons only.  I think a 40 minute session is appropriate for young children due to their short concentration span.

KCIS teaches the chinese character of HK style & ESF teaches the chinese charater of simplified version.

My son in Australian International School and they have Mandarin class everyday starting from Reception.
