我反而覺得本地學校太追求成績, 父母都加以配合, 小朋友物都唔好理, 最緊要讀好書, 結果做就左d高分低能嘅學生出來...離開左讀書範圍, 好多小朋友都唔識為自己打算同照顧自己.  呢類人係呢10年8年陸續係社會出現, 公司請人interview時同請d畢業生就會見到.

I am not one of old students in MPS. Lucky I got a seat with 20 marks.
MPS is one of the dream schools for someone, but I don’t really know it is as good as before. I still have queries about her academic level.
Can anyone share?

我諗唔好用有幾多狀元去衡量學校好唔好，好似wootaitai咁，睇大圍比較知適．

我係好多年之前讀，我讀時重係叫maryknoll sisters' school，學校有修女．我不嬲唔覺得academic wise MSS係top school．佢唔係出ｄ物狀元嘅學校，但係就冇其他學校谷得咁衡，而學術又中上，英文的確比好多學校好．而家唔知變成點．

始終津校冇得揀學生，質素比直資係差ｄ．我個年代係耍考入去，學校可以自己揀，我重記得學費係$20一個月．

我唔知其他學校點，係我嘅年代，真係會有ｄ幾talk得嘅英文老師，發音係幾好，而且可以對答如流．而班上好多學生真係操到一口好英文，不過個ｄ多數有補習．

Esf is quite different now, it has Chinese (Mandarin) class everyday, so the standard of Chinese will not be as bad as before.

If I were you I would let my girl still study at ESF. Although Chinese is very important (I have no doubt on this) but it is just a language only. The most important is happy school life for her.

Keep her staying in ESF she may only fair in Chinese but transfer to local school, she may lost her happy childhood. So don't think too much...who will know what will happen after 20 years? And I definately didn't think your partent would had known Chinese would became such a main language 20-30 year ago, right?

I consider letting her stay at esf, if she is willing to learn Chinese at home.
I do hope she has a happy childhood and enjoy studying.

Glenealy ESF's weekly Chinese curriculum is uploaded (and updated) on their website.  Interested moms can take a look and would understand what I mean when I say their Chinese is practically non-existent.
