聖羅撒､協恩､馬頭涌官立小學､陳瑞淇之分別?

各位家長:

小朋友真的大得很快, 眨眼就要幫囡囡諗小學, 但這方面小妹經驗尚淺, 如各家長有研究, 麻煩指點一下。聖羅撒､協恩､馬頭涌這三間分別在於咩? 有d人話3間都好難考, 我報考時策略應如何呢? 那一間第一､第二､第三?請賜教。

All three are subvented / government. In the first round, you can only apply one subvented or government school.

聖羅撒 - catholic girl school
協恩 - christian girl school
馬頭涌 - no religion co-ed school

It all depends on what net you live and how many points you can for the first round. Normally, if you do not have any religion background, I would think Heep Yunn is the best, then follow by St Rose and Ma Tau Chung.
This is because the two girl school have 直屬 band one secondary school which are EMI.

3間都是 Net34 的好學校--- 學生的學業成績表現都在全港小學生的平均之上, 校風佳
我整理出的資料如下---

協恩
女校, 基督教, 有直屬 Band1協恩中學, 根據資料有9成學生升讀 Band1 中學, 學生除了在學業上有良好表現之外, 學校亦注重課外活動, 並在多方面取得不俗的成績, 學校設備新, 擁有多種不同功能課室, 另有泳池

馬官
男女校, 無宗教, 有連繫 Band1 中學, 根據資料有 58% 的學生入讀第一志願中學 (可推測讀 Band1 中學的學生比率更高--- 教育署不准官校用升中成績宣傳, 因此, 一般家長較難取得實際百分比資料), 學校採活動及多元教學, 在學業及其他方面都有很好的成績(中英數成績屬教署至 Top 學校之一), 學校亦具多種不同功能課室, 且設計新穎, 設備也新, 校長及老師具愛心, 也有良好的教育理念

聖羅撒
女校, 天主教, 有 Band1 直屬中學 (但已遷至沙田), 據視學報告, 曾被評只注重學業的操練而較欠缺其他方面的活動

3間學校中我去過馬官參觀, 所以有較多的資料提供, 第一輪選校時由於只靠計分, 如無宗教或其他分數, 聽聞協恩及聖羅撒沒有20分是沒有機會抽的, 馬官則15分(適齡+大仔/女)都有機會
第二輪時, 如你住 Net34, 則無論填協恩/馬官/聖羅撒為第一志願都有機會抽中(也是據聞以聖羅撒機會最大, 因為有人將聖羅撒放第二志願都可入, 如果屬實, 那麼將聖羅撒放第一應必入)
3間學校的學額以協恩最少, 馬官及聖羅撒則相若, 至於選校策略就比較難說了, 考慮小朋友的個性、自己的教育信念、男女校、宗教... 等因素之後, 再決定次序吧

十分多謝你們的回應, 我囡囡應該只得15分, 如按照AnLi所說, 協恩､聖羅撒就無機會。但又是否於第二輪時, 無20分協恩､聖羅撒也可以呢? 對不起, 因我實在無咩研究, 煩請賜敎。

計分法只應用於第一輪上，第二輪是不計分的。

近期我又聽到陳瑞淇也不錯, 是否與馬頭涌差不多, 如果係各位媽媽, 聖羅撒､協恩､馬頭涌､陳瑞淇, 你們會點排呢?

我的兒子是讀陳瑞祺的, 我覺得它真是一間不錯的學校. 不過它的中學是一間男校, 所以如果是女兒, 我一定給會考慮一間有中學的學校. 我的排名是:

1) 協恩
2) 聖羅撒
3) 陳瑞祺
4) 馬頭涌官立小學

多謝你的回應, 近期聽了很多, 有很多媽咪都話協恩, 但亦有媽咪話純女校, 會影響社交發展, 出來說話或處事會怯, 各位點睇? 亦希望各34網媽咪繼續比意見小妹, 謝謝!

CSK does not have any secondary school connection for their girls.  All girls must join the central allocation.  That's a big minus if you are picking schools for your daughter.

I would definitely pick a primary school that has secondary school connections.  You'll never know how painful it is to pick schools for your kid in P6 until you actually do one.  (It's even more cruel when the results are announced)

Heep Yunn is no doubt the top choice.  The second one is a little bit tricky.  If we held an election today, votes might split 50/50 between SRL and MTC, or 40/60 in MTC's favor.  But my vote will be on SRL for the above reasons.

CSK is not bad, but it has to rank last among these four schools.

係呀.聖羅撒到依家都未有正式的校長接任.今年少左好多人報.我妹妹個女讀聖羅撒幼稚園,佢話笫三日下午去交表,都係得百多人入表.總數五日加埋應該不過百五人,我妹個女得15分.今年好大機會抽到.佢話有20分既同學仔走左去博其他名校喎.

I also hand in the form for St Rose. This is because I know quite a few (4-5 primary girls and 1 secondary girl) St Rose girl parents. They said that though the new headmaster in primary is only an acting one, he has been teaching there for over 10 years already, so I think the policy will not change much. Its secondary school is still a Band 1 English secondary school.

If you look at the web site for St Rose primary, the school is becoming more active than previous years, may be it is trying to improve itself.

I think the main reason why there are fewer applicants these years is that every parent thinks that the birth rate for 1999 has decreased, so many will choose the most top school instead, e.g. Heep Yunn, St Mary, and Maryknoll. While schools like methodist, St Rose etc., they are also very good school, but the applicants will choose these as second choice for the first round.
