高主教面試

請問今天有沒有家長去了高主教面試, 可否分享一下?

我個人覺得interview會幾主觀，因不同的老師面試，感覺一定不一樣。問的問題都大概估到：例如問我們對仔仔有什麽期望。至於問我仔仔包括：你不見了爹哋、媽媽會怎樣做、砌puzzle等。我覺得interview來說，St paul's boy做得好好多，起碼所有小朋友都是校長見，較為公平。其實大家的考生都是差不多，為什麽高主教不效法 St Paul's Boy呢！

Hi:
Don' t worry, this is useless. Just like my child, he behaved calmly in St. Paul's interview last week. But on today's interview, he changed to another one. The teachers, the staffs, the students are very nice. Even the headmistress(I think), standed at the entrance and greeted every parents with their children. Parents and children waited at their assigned rooms. Teachers would call the name of the child and lead him with parents to next room for interview. I suggested you to bring some books or something that could calm down your child and keep him stay on the seat as the waiting time was quite long. In the interview room, there were several groups of parents with children. The teacher asked us how to teach our child when he's naughty and whether my wife was a full-time housewife. I thought she asked this question because my child didn't sit properly and I stared at him with anger.(Dame it!) Then she told us to leave the room and asked my child several questions alone and played puzzle in front of her. No second interview for this school and just wait for reply. I asked the students on the stairs while leaving the school, not all students are catholics or christians, most have even no religions.
Another thing is the competion is very high for each school. I just curious how did the teacher or the headmaster capable to select the "right" students for their school. Well, anyway, LUCK, may be the critical factor for interviews.

I called the school yesterday  they said that they will send the result letter on this Fri, I think we will  receive the letter on Sat!

我今日收到取錄通知喇, 有無其他家長都收到?  不過要放棄統一派位, 你地會唔會交留位費呀?

我今日都收到封信，好開心！

但昨天我亦收到另一間私小acceptance letter，明早我又會帶囝囝去考DBS，所以依家都係十五十六！咁你又會否去交留位費呀？

我仔仔都被取錄。我以為機會很微，因我的仔仔是"細仔"。我未必會交留位費，因我心儀的是St Paul's Boys.希望在下星期三或之前收到St Paul's的信！係呢，你哋有冇報St Paul's Boys.

唔好意思,高主教係私小,但點解要放棄統一派位?乜唔可以又報私小,又等派位?

高主教的信講, 如果交了留位費, 就不可以再報其他學校, 否則作放棄學位, 是否我交了留位費, 其他私小或自行派位就不能注冊?

我個女間幼稚園提及過現在好多私學都要你同意取消統一派位, 只有少數不用放棄派位,

我未有決定, 因為兩間學校雖然都不是最受家長歡迎的頂級名校, 但聽講也是很好的學校.  

其實我的小朋友在自行分配學位已經有很大機會被取錄, 但我希望他讀英文授課及有直屬中學而學費不太貴的小學, 所以再報考了St. Louis and Raimondi.   我會偏向選St Louis因為較近我住的地方, 每班人數較少, 而我覺得可以升上直屬中學的機會較大.  而我的小朋友很喜歡數學及運動, 面試時見到 St Louis有個足球埸, 已經很想在那裹返學讀書.  

我在教統局網頁查過2002/2004中學學位分配, Raimondi中學去年預留直屬學額有109個, 但小六有六班, 大概有220-230人, 新一屆小一雖然只有五班,  但最少也有180人, 要升直屬中學也有一定的競爭.  St Louis中學去年可預留直屬學額有128個(但只用了59個), 以來年只收兩班小一及每班不多過30人, 除非成績很差, 否則升讀原校中學機會很大.

如果我有理解錯直屬學額分配方法, 請多多指教.

我和你不一樣,我的小朋友在自行分配學位被取錄的機會不大,因為我只得15分,所以再報考了St. Louis and Raimondi. 2間私校做後備, (我最心儀的那一間直資只得後備生,未知等到何月何日,現在只好當...) 我會偏向選St Louis因為起碼不需放棄統一派位,每班人數較少,又是英文授課及有直屬中學而學費不太貴, 如你所說可以St. Louis 升上直屬中學的機會較大的話似乎St. Louis 較為可取.

只是未知兩間學校在其它方面的表現如何?例如中英文程度?
教學方式、功課量、師生關係、.....請問有沒人可以分享一下呢?小雲女你點睇?

多謝!不過我重未搞清如果 報了高主教, 是否要放棄其他直資(我還未收到錄取信)及自行分配?

我也想知道.因為直資就會把資料程上教育統籌局, 私立應該不會影響自行分配學額,但高主教信中有提到「不可申請其他學校」,打電話去教育統籌局學位分配組問清楚安全些.
