我本來都有意思幫囝囝報此校, 讓囝囝能有機會見一見大場面, 但昨晚去完簡介會後, 覺得他們小學是以中文為教學語言, 中學才全面採取英語教學, 過中的銜接對小朋友來說不是易事, 三個校長口口聲聲說其校過往能培育出很多傑出人事, 口氣十分之大, 令我對其校印象大打拆扣.

聖保羅男女小學英文程度好高,朋友個仔小三要做Harry Potter reading report,銜接英中應無問題！呢間學校academic standard好高,好多學生要補習。

但個校長話小學係屬於活動教學, 小四才轉回傳統教學, 昨晚有家長問校長學校有沒有外藉老師教英文, 校長無正面回答.

pls clarify me: my friend's son is studying there and she said mac road is traditional teaching while ken rd is active learning. is it true? some mami said mac rd is the 'original' one and std is much higher but every year the competition of ken rd is much higher, and also, is it confirmed that they will combine in 2007?
pls advise.

我聽到堅尼地道校長話如果小朋友係叻, 出年做大仔來面試我地都會收, 即係話會收大仔多o的, 理由好簡單, 小朋友大一個月, 會醒目好多, 吸收力比細仔強, 佢地係名校, 硬係希望自己

Yes, I also got the similar message---mac road (previous AM session) is more traditional in teaching and the academic standard is higher while ken rd (previous PM session) is more activities-based in teaching. I don't know why the competition of ken rd is much higher! Maybe parents don't like the high pressure of mac road la!

My friend did mention that the schools will be combined in 2007.

thanks v much for your prompt reply. my friend went to the seminar that night and she said the principal reminded them that they could not join the lucky draw scheme wor, how abt the 1st round leh, if said 70% for old students, where got so many ah, so keen in 'making ppl' meh? i wonder. ha ha..

因為聖保羅係直資, 所以一定唔可以join統一派位(第二round大抽獎)第一round計分就得
我可以好肯定因為我老闆個仔係咁樣
佢話堅尼地道平易近人d, 麥當奴道就串好多, 佢d朋友都係讀得書多專業人士, 好多都係大公司高層管理級, 去同小朋友考麥當奴道都俾人勁串, 佢話kennedy road就好好多
有個小朋友"正常地"講英文多過講中文, 去考麥當奴道直頭俾校長話"呢度中文學校, 做咩考試要講英文?"
我老闆個仔係讀寶山幼兒園既, d名牌野梗係跳級教學啦, 所以佢去到st paul's都唔覺程度特別深, 不過佢都話老師係對家長好有expectation, 例如佢會覺得"下, 你地二公婆去左旅行, 咁呢個week邊個睇功課呀?"
功課方面都唔算太大pressure, 不過就真係成日有assessment, 咩比賽assessment盛盛, 全部都係計分, 咪又即係考試!

pls may i know which one is yr boss's son studying? i found kenndy rd is much more prettier. but my friend said it was more easier to get in the mac road one.
