As my experience, St. Paul is one of the  school that  will choose students from very ordinary primary schools providing that the students possesses sound academic results in his own primary school and /or with one or more special talents.
I will choose a good reputation kindergarten near the home and then a good (not necessary the top one in the district) primary school but with not much homework pressure or a 'train-school' that the child can study freely to develop his other interests. I think a happy and childish school life is very valuable and important when the kid is young.

在我的觀點, 如果你既仔仔係諗住一路係香港讀大學, 將來要面對會考的話,  我諗揀"皇仁"機會大d, 佢地tip會考題目好準的, 會考準備也相當好.

我更係想囝囝讀書無壓力及開心啦;但香港的教育如在無壓力下又未必追得上.我相信就讀聖保羅書院的學生或家人都會經歷過辛苦的階段;所以我希望你們能提供入此校的途經(幼稚園及小學資料等)

My kid just came from 啓思kindergarten and then an ordinary primary chinese school(good but not the top in our own district). As my kid said, he studied without pressure in primary school. I arranged for his time that he still got enough leisure time on his interests (playing etc).    I think a famous junior school can get some help, but not a must.
