2 yrs and up, I suggest Between the lion, my son 2.5yrs loves it very much.

You can consider the PhonicKids set from GC.  3 VCD + 3 workbooks plus 2 posters are only $338.  My son is 2 years old and he loves them.  He can learn partial letters now.

Also, I let my son watch another set called "兒童英語ABC" from 風格.  This set is also quite good.

You can buy Between the lion at Popular or HMV or some of record shops, it cost $45-59 each( I forget). It is VCD, the whole set is total 4 VCDs, resolution is fine.

I suggest you to buy 1 VCD at the first time, don't buy them all. The first VCD is about the long vowel "A", VCD name " The ram in the pepper patch", the story is quite easy to understand.

And also, I suggest you to watch this VCD with your baby because you can talk with him about the content & play game & sing songs after watch the VCD, this will make your baby feel more fun & remember the letter sound.

Phonics kids from GC is US accent, I have no idea of Lion.

Letterland is British accent.

I checked both, my girl is using phonic kids. Actually, phonic kids is no difficult to use, just turn on the CD Player /vcd player , the kid can listen/watch. it only teach the kid to the blending 3 letters sound, e.g. bat, dad. mad..... Great for beginners.

For Letterland: english accent, need 100% parent's help. Parent should learn first, then teach the kid. letterland teach all the blending words.

in my case, I am using phonickids at the moment, will teach my girl letterland when she is 6. Because I need to spend some time to learn;)

I note that the way for PhonicsKid to remember the sound of letters seems like JollyPhonics which use actions, while Letterland uses the beginning sounds of the characters' name in Letterland.   I have gone through the Letterland and JollyPhonics.  I also have bought some materials for PhonicsKid.
I have the impression that all Phonics material are the same.  The only difference is the way to remember the sound of each letter.  However, this is only a small part of learning phonics.   The kid still needs a lot of practice, such as beginning sound, ending sound, middle sound and blending words.  Participation of parent are very important.

It's only my little option.

I visited the agents of LetterLand and PhonicsKids last  saturday. I bought the PhonicsKids at last becauce it is a simple and easy appraoch to learn phonics.
