As my son was offered a place from DBS, I had been intended not to attend the SPCC interview. However, having talked with 2 different parents, I was told that DBS seemed not to be as good as SPCC. They told me that only the 'D' class in DBS is good at academic. If the student is good at one talent, he would be forced to develop at it (i.e. music player would need to be called to practice for days and therefore it would affect the student's academic study).
Because of this fear, I changed my mind yesterday and took my son to attend the interview.
Hello, parents:
Please advise if DBS is really too concentrate on non-academic achievement and SPCC is really the best choice ?
one bread with room temp 90度 and relative humidity of 85%, the other bread with room temp 35度 and relative humidity of 85% as well. not explain why but guess another thing will have the same happening. 不過即使佢無問,但都應自己解釋,從而作為自己答案的理據。
SPCC is undeniably among HK's top schools alongside a couple of others. Their students - more than often - achieve rather impressive results academically. They have a long tradition of music excellence, and are doing well in some sports among co-ed schools (SPCC, unlike some elite schools, is not quite keen on 'poaching' star athletes).
Most of their students are rather humble despite their 'better-than-average' background and upbringing.
No one dare to say that SPCC (or any other school) is the best choice. It all depends on the kid and his/her parents' expectations. Good luck.
