I assume the term 主音 u referred as a 'fugue subject'.  There are no single 'correct' way to interpret Bach's fugues.  But it is quite common to articulate a fugue subject in a combination of both legato and non-legato touch rather than just 主音彈legato而和音彈non-legato. To achieve a musical playing of a fugue, u need to bring out the subject and play the fugue in a well-balanced  texture.  Also consider all other component such as its counter subject(s) and the episode (wow, a lot of details needed to work on if u are a serious student).   Listen to CDs played by different artists (eg. Glenn Gloud, Tureck, abrsm exam CD, etc.) would be very useful.

I do not have the exam bk in hands.  Pl give me the title (the key and the BWV no. )of the fugue, is it from WTC 1 or WTC 2?  Of course u can play in your own way, but u need to make sure that your playing is 'stylistic' in Barouqe period and fits the characteristics of the fugue.  I havn't heard u play and it is hard to say whether it is OK or not.  
How many voices are there in the fugue?  Since many of Bach's fugue have more than 2 voices, and the fugue subject (I assume the term 主音 u referred) would appear in different voices, so be careful that u can bring out all the layers.

Thanks for your comment! I did listen to the CD for that song, but it seems to me that the pianist played the fugue part in legato and the 和音 in non-legato. However, somebody told me that the fugue  ...
