Does anyone know about French international school?

We just got an offer from this school.Could anybody share anything about this school?e.g discipline.Thanks a lot

FIS is a very good school, however there are just 10% Chinese study in there.  I like this school very much but it is quite hard to get in.  Although i have applied for my son, but at the end i let my son attend Canadian Int'l School.

Chinese teaching will start in P.2 at FIS, they do have homework everyday and test frequently.

Thanks a lot for the replies.
However,I checked from their website.The University placements were not that good.Is it only the primary section has the good reputation but not the secondary?

yes, it is becoz all the students grad. from FIS will go overseas, they probably will not stay in HK. Unless their result is very good enough to get in HK university.

you can think about GSIS, their secondary section should be better than FIS.

I heard that the primary section of GSIS will move to Ma On Shan.It's too far away.Anyway,since everybody said about the good things about this school,I think we will go for FIS.Thanks a lot

As I also plan to apply this school for my son, can you share more detail regarding this school.
1) Which grade did your son apply for ?Reception or P1?
2) If it for P1, which kindergarten did your study?
3) How long did you wait for the offer, knowing that they can apply anytime but don't know whether their waiting list was long or not?
4) How about the interview, did the interview only conduct in English?

Hope I can help you have more idea as well. We were in FIS for the past 7 years.
1) Which grade did your son apply for ?Reception or P1? =>My 2 girls both get in Reception class
2) If it for P1, which kindergarten did your study? =>They were in The Peak Pre school, Wooland.
3) How long did you wait for the offer, knowing that they can apply anytime but don't know whether their waiting list was long or not? =>every year is different for different grade.
4) How about the interview, did the interview only conduct in English? => of course, no french need! they will ask kid do story telling to the teacher or play some toys before them.

Hi there,
1) We applied for the reception class
3)We had the interview at 13/2 and got the offer letter at 24/2.We submitted the application form about one year ago.We were on the waitlist about 2xx.However, if u have the corporate debenture, u can go to the top of the waitlist
4) The interviewed was conducted in English

How old is your child when he attended the interview? How did you find out your waitlist no? How long did the interview last? Do you receive the offer for Sept intake or April intake? Did you submit your application with corporate debenture?

I hv submitted the application already but don't really know whether its for 2010 or 2011 admission as my child was born in Jan.

my child was born in 2007.

That mean your child is born in Jan 2007, so you are applying for the admission of 2011.

Hi greenspring,
I think your child will be in September2011 admission which is the reception class.So ur child will have interview in February 2011.
1,My child will attend the reception class this September.He was turning to four when he attended the interview.
2,The duration of the interview was about 1 hour.
3,Before the interview, i called them to ask how many applicants this year.They told me we were the 2XX th.
4We don't have the corporate debenture.
