因 application form 是可以揀選 interview 的語言. 學校會偏好選英文 interview 既小朋友嗎?

Like most of parents nowadays in HK, we prefer our kids to have fluent English.  Thus we speak English with my girl since day 1.  However, in an interview workshop, the instructor said most of the KG interview is conducting in Cantonese.  

We then teach our girl more Cantonese and it works because famous KG like Sacred Heart, St. Paul Convent, SKH, St. Clares, St. Margaret are conducting interviews in Cantonese.  Some even didn't ask anything in English.

So parents have to watch out!

For KV, your kid must be able to speak in Cantonese.

For St. Cat/ LHK, either one is okay.

My kid also has LHK classmates who are native English speakers and they cannot speak any Cantonese.
