Is intelligent design the same as creationism?
“No. The theory of intelligent design is simply an effort to empirically detect whether the "apparent design" in nature acknowledged by virtually all biologists is genuine design (the product of an intelligent cause) or is simply the product of an undirected process such as natural selection acting on random variations. Creationism typically starts with a religious text and tries to see how the findings of science can be reconciled to it. Intelligent design starts with the empirical evidence of nature and seeks to ascertain what inferences can be drawn from that evidence. Unlike creationism, the scientific theory of intelligent design does not claim that modern biology can identify whether the intelligent cause detected through science is supernatural”

有一次，在街上散步時，兩個摩門教徒和我傾談，我作出尖銳的批評：神並不愛世人，只為不信一些沒有證據讓我們相信的東西，就要落地獄，就要被火燒、被蟲咬。他的答案出乎我的意料：神愛世人，無論信與不信，所有人死後都會上天堂享福。

摩門教徒的神的確是較為慈愛，但我卻正正因此，寧可信佛教、回教也不信摩門教。反正我不能判別那一個神才是真神，如果信回教，只要回教的神，或是摩門教的神其中一個是真的，我都會上天堂；反之，信了摩門教，萬一原來回教的神才是真的我便要下地獄。信摩門教，只買了一份保險；信回教、佛教就是買了兩份保險。

無論摩門教、耶和華見證人教等，都被正統基督教（包括天主教、東正教）視為「異端」，即是說，這些教會在闡釋聖經時，和主流的教會有根本上的分歧，對誰有資格上天堂就是一個例子。

如果我說：「根據教會的講法，其實人人都可以上天堂」，正統基督徒們自然會反駁：「摩門教講的是完全錯誤，他們是異端，他們不能代表基督教會」。

教會有正統，有異端，不足為奇；科學界有正統，也有異端，更不足為奇。世上有少許科學家覺得神創論是科學觀點，進化論是非科學觀點正常得不得了。不過，找些異端去證明神創論是科學觀點，則只是雙重標準而矣。

忍唔住要加兩咀， ID 和 creationism 在西方社會中的確有重要的政治及宗教需要，神創說如被 iron out，在西方社會中定會引起一定的價值觀念冲擊。但東方文化卻可以更包容 Darwin's Theory，因為 DT 並不會把佛家儒道的立身基石冲跨。

但人，如有堅定的"信"，又何懼挑戰呢！這，大臣呀！這又是應該包含在我们孩子的教育範圍呀！希望 你/妳 可以頂得住下广告的大大，因为网主应是相重問責。

我已看完 ndw 的 link了，给大家多一点討論彈藥，ID 和 Creationism 的相反理論，我睇过寫得最好玩的，都算 Richard Darkins 之 The Blind Watchmaker 了。

希望大家不要光讀网上章節，要好好完一本書。我堅信你/妳 不論是那一方的支持者，都會有所得着。
