but upon my last conversation with uncle tong, the pick up time in kowloon tong is 6:45a.m. in this year, of course it will alter each year.
besides, any parents still waiting for the place in dbs?

I remember another parent once said that the pick up time at 麗港城 is 7:30am...it seems quite good.

Chatting with school bus aunties revealed that following pick up time:
0630 - Kowloon Tong (now we live)
0645 - Hung Hom
0700 - Happy Valley
0730 - Aberdeen
0 ...

My son went to DBS interview yesterday so will see the outcome. I like St.Paul co-ed more but my son is vice versa......so he insist to go.

Double check with responsible persons as follow:

HK side - "Tong Suk" 90511386

0730 - Aberdeen
0700-0715 - HK side up to Eastern

Kowloon side - Mr Wong 90802514

0640-0645 - Kowloon Tong
0650 - 0700 - Hung Hom

So, it's a marginal difference between districts.

My son belongs to B group, catholic and live in Kowloon. That means unrelated and not the same religious. Thanks God, luckily, he got a place in P1 09-10.

Now we started to plan for my younger son, who is 2-year-old and born in mid Oct. We don't have much idea about the best kinders in Hong Kong side.

SKH and St. Paul church already reject our applications. Does any parent know which other kinders still got a chance to be admitted to K1 and have a bit preference in SPCCPC admission. Thanks!!

Hello,

My second daughter is a current P. 2 student. The same information for P.1 parents as beaclam. But would like to add 1 point, the school requires students to read at least 80 books each school year. Many students read more than double. It will be important to have your kids love reading.

My little daughter will apply the coming year. Would you please share if no portfolio is required now?

我們雖然也是基督教, 但並非聖公會, 我發覺在申請號碼上也只是得一個B, 其非BR. 所以, 我覺得我也是屬於完全沒有關係及"宗教分"的一類。其實, 宗教分不是KEY POINT, 真的是小孩在面試時的表現, 才是關鍵。另外, 在我來說幼稚園成績表似乎也有頗大的功效。不知其他準家長是否有同感?

另外, 我也聽說今年有applicant雖然有校董的介紹信, 父母也是銀行家, 但始終因臨場表現不理想而沒有被取錄。

Hello, my daughter is K2 now.. we are SKH christian. SPCC is one of the best SKH school in my heart so i definitely to apply next year for daughter.

I already attended the info session this year and heard that the percentage of seats for non-related applicants (parents not old boys and gals) is 30% only. out of the limited space (150*30%), both boys and gals accepted equally.. i.e. around 2x seats for case like us... chance is really slim..

can parents share if my assumption is right?

Your assumption is correct! That's why when I applied, I don't really give a hope of going to the school. But it turns out that it accepted my boy, so it's really like a bonus to our family!

The school will accept NOT LESS THEN 30% of unrelated group, and will accept NOT MORE THEN 70% of the related group. But the percentage is not necessarily like that every year.

Sorry let me clarify. I want to say that every year, the percentage of A group getting in, and B group getting in, is not always 70% / 30%. It really depends on the applicants' performances. If there are not that many applicants from A group that are outstanding, the school won't need to admit all 70%. The rule is the school can admit NO MORE THEN 70% of A group. And NO LESS THEN 30% of the B group. But I don't really know the actual percentage of each group getting in.
