May I know for the English book, is it compulsory to purchase or optional??

My daughter said her English teacher said they have to buy all and 交比her keep (she will give the book to the student later).
We only purchase one on that day, so that we need to buy another 2 books at the book store   .

Yes, me too.  I just bought one on that day as I feel the other 2 are too simple.

If teacher asks the student to purchase the book and they are not going to teach at school, when will they return the books to student?? What is the purpose of purchasing the book??

I am a bit confused; I guess my question is "why they insist student to purchase some books that they are not going to teach??"

Yes, my husband went to buy another 2 books and my daughter already give it to teacher yesterday.

Agreed! I just close my eye and buy them all without knowing the purpose of these books.

I admire the teachers so much that they can pick up funny readers for kids.  My kids like to read the readers on their own, as the level of English OK for them.

That helps to develop reading as hobby.  And self-learning of kids is v. important.

Yes, my P.2 daughter also likes to read books .  Now everyday after school, she will eat lunch, do homework, review dictation/test, then read story books, not ask for turn on TV any more.
Now, I just turn on TV after my girls went to sleep.
