Ideally, I think kids should learn phonics first. My friend's son is in F1. His English in primary is OK, except he doesn't learn phonics. She felt that her son could listen and understand and speak better in school , using English as medium of teaching, if he has learnt phonics.
But doing more comprehension could help kids get higher mark in primary. |
