I  checked with the staff of SJ. As told, they will mail the letter on 14/11. If you can't receive the letter by 25/11, please call them.

I guess  your son has got the offer from RC as learnt from the relevant forum. May you mind tell us the month and year of his birth?

My son got the rejection letter from RC. I believe age constraint was his fatal reason (born at the end of Nov 2003, out of RC's preferred age range) He is even not qualified for being put on the waiting list out of the 800 applicants (approx.),  Jesus! Initially, I guessed that  RC was very easy when comparing with YW (1800+ applicants)and TSL (2560+applicants) but the fact is that we lost RC and entered the 2nd round at YW and TSL. Nothing can be planned, so funny...
  ).

I had a bad feeling that he may have nothing eventually.
Then just wait for the big draw in Jan 2009. So tired.

Did any know if age constraint is also a main concern of St. Joseph.

Hi dimmy,

Please don't be too upsad, actually my first target before I ready for my son is "YW" but failure and cannot entry the 2nd interview, I am so sadness.... So your son is a smart boy (must) otherwise how can entry to YW & TSL.

My son born from July 03.  

St. Jo also is my target in Kln side school, but I am not sure how many appliants in this year.  I guess we should receive the letter today or next Monday.  

Which school is your first target?  Keep in sharing.

Hello FungMm,

Thanks for your message.

I got  a bit upset because I got a false expectation based on teacher's comments after the interview.  Also, I shouldn't have given my son a false prediction.  

I learned that  some of the P1 applicants for RC this year also tried RC last year. I may consider trying RC again next year, but for P1 or P2? I don't know.

RC was my target school and I planned to move to HK side from NT. Now, I can stay on NT. I do not dare to target any schools until I get the offer. I understand that age could still be a concern of he DDS or private schools, except for the game of big draw. I have tried 'DPS' for the 1st round of the lucky draw though the chance is close to zero (My son got 15 marks only.) I don't expect to get DPS under normal circumstance. Which school did you put in the 1st round of the lukcy draw?

There are 600+ applicants for SJ last year. I have no information for this year.

Hi dimmy,

It's good for you and your son try RC in next year if you really target to RC.  But I trust you may not after you got a good primary school this year.  You may don't want to changed.

Before I also planning will call to YW every year for my son examin again.  But when I got a offer from RC and SFA then no this plan again.

St. Jo should be release the notification letter today (I saw from 小一選校).  May we will got the result on next Monday.  

My son also had 15 marks for "lucky draw" so same as you - close to zero.  My choice is 加士居道-循道.

Hope all can got a seat form your target school.  Cheers!

I got the acceptance letter from SJ too.
It is hard to make up my mind  before YW and TSL release the result on Monday after next.
Which one will you take if you are given the offer from YW, TSL and SJ?

請問如何得知St. Jo升中比率，因為學校網址無提？St. Jo Secondary 是Band 1 尾band 2 頭的嗎？但為何上網search有d人話是Band 3的？因為本人最近才搬入觀塘區，對這區學校唔多熟悉呀

Thanks a lot for your advice.  

I also like YW but I do worry about the English standard because it is not an EMI school as what SJ does. It is a bit confusing. SJ primary school is an EMI school but its secondary school is not, whereas YW primary school is not EMI but its secondary school is.
As said, your first choice  for your son was YW. Will you  worry  about YW's English standard and the recent performance of YW secondary school? Some parents on this forum also said that YW Secondary School's performance dropped a lot in comparison with that in the past.
Perhaps, I am not too nervous... YW hasn't released the result yet but I started to worry. I really have to face such decision if I get the offer from YW on 24/11, the same date for registration at SJ. Though I can pay the registration fee, I don't want to hold the seat because of my hesitation.  Someone should be on the waiting list of SJ.

I can't find the latest allocation result of TSL on her website. I can't find the school name including 'XXPO LING'. What is the full name? Thanks.

I'm also waiting for the result from YW and La Salle (we're Catholic as well as living at Net 41, that means we've two times for lucky draw) on 24th and so far my boy got accepted by St Jo and SFA.  

In comparing SFA and St Jo, I personally like SFA becoz of its higher English standard, however, my hubby is an old boy of St Jo, he definitely much more prefers the latter.
