2009/2010 - Admission Primary One

Hi all,

I was submitted the application form on 4 Oct, before 1:00pm and the interview date on 18 Oct at 12:00nn.

Can you please tell me some about of the interivew skills during on the interview?  And how to check how many applicants this year or last year?

I also submitted the application form on 4 October at around 10 am. The interview time is 10 am on 18 October. Does anyone know how long is the interview? My son has another interview at 11 am!!

Oh I guess the interview period at least 45-60 mins wor, which location for your next?  May be a little late.

Last year, my son was interviewed at ST. Joe. All the applicants were send to other classroom to do paper exercise (my son said that) for the interview and all the parents were stayed in the hall for the briefing & introducting by the principal.  About 30 minutes, all boys will release and all of us may left school.

paper exercise? 唔係話唔准筆試ge咩?咁請問你囝囝話難唔難呢?佢係咪依家讀緊St. Joseph? Sorry for so many questions but I really hope that my son can perform well in the interview!

Hi joemyt,

Can you please tell us more for the paper test?  It's difficult for the age 5 chilidren?  That included Chinese, English and Maths, right?

Have the 2nd interview?

放鬆一點啦！　亞仔靜係話要做試卷，但無詳細講，應該唔會好難，等佢今日放學返黎套佢料先！但有樣野就係真嫁，就係要禮貌，亦係好多學校先抉條件。其實個個小朋友都差不多，但如果無禮貌（唔叫人、唔排隊、爭野玩）就幾o力都無用。

不過呢D要平日教的，如果平日在家做小霸王，又點能夠用一兩個星期去"馴服"佢呢？

至於難唔難，我朋友個仔去年考唔到聖若瑟，但考到 DBSPS，我都唔知點解 ?

唔該晒比料的Mami. joemyt,請你問下囝囝interview時老師會唔會用英文同普通話問佢,同埋是否有看圖講故事或聽故事答問題.如果有,我要再同囝囝操練.萬分感激.頭先打電話去St. Joe問過,話interview要預一粒鐘wor!!

i submitted the form around 12:00pm on that day...i think you are roughly the same, right?

I was surprised for written test during interview cause someone told me it is very easy that teachers just talk to the kids only...ohhh my god!

Yes, I submitted the application form before 1:00pm.  Don't worry I think they just want more understand the kids over the interview.

May our son to be the same group for the interview wor... Keep in touch!

all 09' mum:
我印象阿仔無提過考筆試,只係請一group小朋友入課室,
課室內有圖書,老師會讓小朋友先看圖書,可能看看他們會
否喜歡閱讀和看完書後會否自已放回原位.(只是我估)
然後每人一些筆和一張紙畫畫,老師會每位小朋友問畫中意思,進進畫了十字架和一座building,他解釋那十字架是學校門口那大十字架,可能這樣bingo了.
還有問問題,印象中有英文,但不知有沒有普通話.
這只是進進當時給我的資料,不知是否準確,但可作參考.

兩年前的事,真係無乜印象, SJACP面試只係一次過, 我當年帶亞仔去考, 一去到禮堂家長搵個位坐低, 小朋友就由老師指導下排隊去另一地方面試, 家長就聽校長介紹學校, 我見有D小朋友喊住唔肯跟老師走, 約45分鐘後老師又會帶番D小朋友出黎, 個段時間做過D乜我個仔只肯講小小話, 一班人分組坐, 老師同他們傾計, 問下爸爸個名, 喜歡d乜顏色, 你們最重要小朋友注意要有禮貌, 同老師傾計有無eye contact, 同埋如果問你小朋友喜歡D什麼? 千奇唔好只答short answer, 要有d point!
e.g.如問你喜歡什麼節日?小朋友答新年. 通常老師跟住一定會問埋點解 ?看看小朋友的臨場反應!

Hi all,

囝囝話面試時無大問題小朋友3人一組, 只是drawing (不過吾夠時間), lego, reading和老師問問題.. 吾知要否計宗教分呢? 因我們都不是教友呢!

不過result要等到11月25日真係好擔心...

天主教小學緊係會計宗教分啦! 不過一定要小朋友本身已經領洗。
