You mean DBSPD?..   Not yet..  but should be very soon cos Oct 24/25 are the first interview days..

Don't know how they can meet 2000 applicants in 2 days..

還未收到!但交表時職員話 24/10 or 25/10 面試 咁多人申請都要俾d時間學校出信，我哋唯有耐心等待吓啦

真係唔知佢地點可以係兩日裏面見咁多小朋友, 其實我覺得佢地見面之前已經心裏有數要留邊d小朋友. 否則跟本無可能留意到每一個小朋友.   right?

Maybe they do it like Ying Wa.  10 groups per slot, each group with 12 kids.  About 10 slots per day...

DBSPD會in兩次的,

第一次睇下
1. 個細路仔在沒有安排下會選乜活動, 能不能自律.
2. 聽故事後逐一答問題, 睇理解能力同專唔專心
3. 比數學玩具小朋友玩, 睇下佢的數理概念發展

第二次同家長分別見校長
1. 問下家長子女在家情況
2. 比本書小朋友睇, 睇佢的思維發展及能力等

所以, 我諗都應該睇到小朋友能力, 唔係淨係睇家庭背景的....

If I recall correctly, the 1st interview takes 2 hours.  Parents are asked to leave the school and return later.

About 16+ boys are grouped together for each batch. Each group uses 2 classrooms for interviews. They are led to the 1st classroom and are explained about the interview process, then given books/toys to play with. Kids are called for individual interviews in the other classroom.

Existing school kids have holidays for the 2 days, but the school prefects are asked to help out (e.g. lead the interviewees to classrooms/toilets/etc.). And I presume most of the teachers will be there to interview.

This way they are very efficient, but with so many teachers interviewing, the standard does vary a little.  Hope your boy gets interviewed by someone more lenient.

此外聽說在第二次面見家長時, 當家長回答校長問題時會有計時器計時, 並要求家長在規定時問內完成問題, 仲會指定父或母答某些問題, 我初時聽到, 唔係太信. 為何要這樣難為家長? 而用呢種面見方法又有何用途? 這樣可以看到小朋友是否適合學校? 但係之後我聽到坊不停地流傳這個說法, 而且有些家長仲話係過來人, 小朋友已在該校就讀.
你話信唔信好?  不過, 有得2nd interview 先算啦.

是真的。但都是一些簡單的問題。兩年前是用一分鐘時間介紹自己的孩子。（不敢肯定沒有其它問題，但認識的人裏面沒有。）有朋友是再早一年，她當時的問題是如何栽培孩子。
沒有聽過指定要誰作答，但當父或母說完，也有要求另一位補充的。

In my son's year, he was not asked about Math question but something like 空間/分析/專注力. I realised that was tested in other schools too. For 2nd interview, parents have 1 min to introduce your son. To be honest, the atmosphere is good but just feel the pressure from ourselves. They set 1 min for each family because some one may talk toooooo much. Time control is necessary. I remembered we were over 1 mim but we ere not stopped actually.

Totally agree with unclejt and civic.  

Also, try not to put too much pressure on yourselves, or your son will feel it and be nervous too.  The 2nd interview lasts only few minutes and is over very fast.  Go prepared and it is not so bad.

But before that, good luck on getting pass 1st interview.

想請教, 第一次interview 係唔係校長見? 或只是老師? 有冇問D 個人或處境問題? 或只是睇書, 玩砌野, 聽故事? 謝謝!!

In 1st interview, boys will be interviewed by teacher only. Firstly, boys will be lead to a classroom where they can read books, play lego, drawing, toys..... This is waiting time. Then, boys will be lead to another room to interview with teacher, 1 to 1. In my son's year, he was asked some general questions and asked to put some figures into correct position. May spend only 5 mins. Nothing special. Don't worry.

In the 1st Interview, the candidates will be asked to answer some questions after listening a short story from the computer!

In my son's year, he didn't need to listen to story. I think the interview is different every year. My son is in P.4 already.
Be relax ! Just ask him to be polite and don't run around inside the room when waiting. Without pressure, he should performs well. Good luck !

Thanks for all your info. Listening to a story on a computer is quite difficult actually. The kids really need to concentrate in order to catch all the details.
Thanks Civic for your encouragement. Yeah good manners and not running around is important. Let's just hope that he won't bump into some friends he know and goes crazy in there. Do they need to wait for a long time before going into the interview classroom? Shall we bring snacks / water / books and stuff? Thanks
