Last year, my daughter was interviewed by Good Hope. I remember the parents was asked to fill in a survey with questions like what are the weakness and strengths for your kids, what would you do if your children forget to bring in assignment, what will you do if your children complaints about the classmates, etc, etc.
It was not easy if you are not prepared. (I was one of them). Either English or Chinese is ok.
I saw one parent copied from papers that she brought along.
Yes, only 1 person is allowed to accompany the girl going in. I remember the interview is divided by 3 parts.
Part 1: parent to fill in the questionnair (last year they asked - 1. what is your girl scared of? 2. How do you help your daughter to obey the school rules. 3. What will you do if your child always forget to bring assignment. 4. What will you do if you daughter is out of temper)
Part 2: the child is brought to another room for drawing picture
Part 3: after drawing, the teacher will conduct a one to one interview with the child (ask in both Eng and Chin)
Hope it helps.
Just try to ask yourself which one you will feel sorry if you missed their chance.
Heard that Good hope still call students every year in September. But, I am not sure if the situation will be changed after they changed to full day class.
I am in 31 net too. Since GH has secondary, it's still a good choice. If my daughter can't be accepted by DGJS or ST. Paul Co-edu, I will choose GH because we don't need to face another allocation pressure during secondary.
My son is in One-Dragon Primary, it's very different, he can enjoy to learn whatever he want.
don't worry! I just called to G.H., the staff told me that the announcement "about the interview in case typhoon" will be posted on their website at this afternoon.
