I haven't received any letter. They just called me to have interview. And in the interview they give me a form to accept the offer.

見bk mail,
點解有d收rejected letter/ 有d wait list / 請問有冇第1次interview 就即場收??
如要2nd interview, 考乜呀??有冇媽咪知呢?

於2nd interview老師只會講下小朋友面試成績及教學情況, 同時俾機會家長問下問題咁啦.

If there is a chance for 2nd interview, does it mean there is a great chance to get a seat for admission ?

There is no special meaning. It was the case last year as heard from other P1 parents. But I am not 100% sure for this year.

As what I learnt from BK, it seems likely same as last year. SMC's focus is rather on the kids rather than the parents.

thank you monkeydad and it is appreciated that all the SM's parents are very helpful (when comparing to the other school's topics). From my feeling, all the SM parents are really love this school and support SM very much. This definietly shon me that SM is really a good school, otherwise, it gains all the parent's support. Also, from all of the SM's parent's replies, I learn a lot of ways on how to teach our kids. Anyway, thanks so much all of you.

My son is offered a seat to P1.

In the 2nd interview the Vice Principle gave me a brief result of my son's performance in 1st interview, and gave me the form for reserving a P1 place right away.

I guess the comments that the Vice Principle made on my son's performance may give some ideas how the school assess the applicants.
1. English vocabulary and communication
2. Chinese vocabulary and communication
3. memory test (she said my son can remember 6 things out of 10 in 15 seconds)
4. politeness
5. mathematical skills (but I don't know how did they assess, my son could not recall

)

For the parents who still did not receive the result, don't give up.

This is very similar to last year's. This means the school is very consistent.

For the Maths part, my boy told me last year that they were asked to play a calculation game. Besides, they also asked some questions regarding the kid's daily life e.g. what is your favourite TV program and what do you usually do during weekend.

我原本係24/9interview, 但個日打風, 冇得見, 今日見左啦! 我個女由上樓到返落樓, 都係30mins, 佢話今次係1對1, 佢上到去時, 就有兩個小朋友見緊. 一坐低, 佢就話老師就問佢乜野名, 之後又計數, 玩積木, 又問佢整左乜野, 又有認生字, 問佢認識乜野字, 唉........... 唔知得唔得呢? 又唔知幾時有通知呢???好擔心, 好緊張.........................

Yesterday, I call the school and they just ask me to wait. Already passed 2 weeks, feel very nervous....

Hello Chapman Ma

i also went to interview on Sep 26, but still waiting for results. i have called to the school last week and they said it will take 4 weeks to notify all candidates.

I have learned from other moms that:
registration letter - reject
normal letter - waiting list
phone call - second interview

let's keep our fingers (and toes) crossed and hope for the best.
