My son is studying at Singapore International School and he takes Kumon Chinese because I want him to write Trandtional Chinese.

Kumon is a franchising organization, the quality is much dependent on the teachers. Most teachers' mother language is Cantonese, so the prounciation is not very good enough. Or you may meet a good one.

Also, the learning syllabus is fine.
first, the learn 拼音, and then characters.
Second, grammar, comprehension, composition

Monthly fee is HK$440.
So you may try a few months, and leave anything you want.

How many lessons for HK$440 ?
Besides Chinese, do you send you kid to their Mathematics lessons ? Do you know whether it's good or not ?

What is the level of 公文式” 中文?  Is it suitable for a 5 years old kid who does not know any chinese character?  My boy know a little bit 中文字 only (only few words: like 人山火水..(less than 15 words)).  I'm afraid he will feel boring.  

When I bought him Chinese story book, he said he don't like, he likes English story book only.  So I'm afraid "公文式” 中文 not suitable for him.  Any recommendation of learning Chinese?

What is the 'special formula' of Kumon's Chinese ? How does it differ from the others ?
And, how about Kumon's Maths ? As I heard that it's a "homework" mechanics, does it really fit for the kids from int'l schools ?
