Hi!All,

提一下如準備考SFA, 去年開始要考用普通話讀詞語, 但寫的PAPER較以前少(當年我女女考要做7張PAPER!!!)
另, 數學似KENTVILLE, 有MENTAL 形式的題目, 亦有補加數等.

Mine is a girl. I have applied for DGJS, Kowloon Tong School and will apply for SFA. If my child had no point, I will apply more private schools for her. When thinking of the difficult questions that will be asked at interviews, I am quite reluctant to take my child to attend those interviews.

我俾你個囝張相Trevor睇, 佢淨係話你個仔係佢朋友, 一樣講唔出名囉. 小朋友就係咁, 啱玩就玩埋一堆, 都唔會問吓或者記吓人哋個名. 有時我記得佢同學仔個名多過佢.

我都怕我個多口仔冇人收, 佢咁多咀, 係老師都怕喇, 我估我大概都係報七八間, 我同事多數私小都報, 報成10間. 我真係唔及佢. 我已經好攰喇. 呢個星期六想起就想死, 一早in 完KV, 就要去DBSPD交FORM, 去完又要去St. Francis交, 囝囝重要學琴, 想起就驚.

I also will apply DBS on this Friday and as I know the date of interview also on 25 Oct, 08. Oh, then 25 Oct may too too busy for interview of KTS, SFA and DBS. Oh my God!

Yes, SFA and KTS will have interviews on 25/10, and now that DBS interview too. That is a very busy day for you. Hope that your interview times would not get crashed.
Ah, a silly question to ask, for the application fees for SFA and KTS, to be paid in cash, right? I guess they will not ask for cheque. Correct?

Yes hope not too rush for those interviews but...

For the application fees, I also think we need to pay by cash during the interview of KTS and SFA has request to pay the application fee ($40) when submit the application form on 25/9.

How do you feel about the whole process? Competitive admission process....

I submit application form to DBSPD today. I was waiting in school over two hours. The interview dates between 24-25/10/2008.

I think the whole process is just a burden to parents, so much pressure for the parents and also the children. But with no choice, we have to deal with it....

I knew that the admission process would be a challenge to the parents and children. However, I didn't know its competitiveness until I found out a parent would ask the instructors/teachers of the interest classes to write a longer piece of reference letter, to false claim that her daughter has attended certain interest class for a longer period of time, to ask the private tutor to adjust the grading of the progress report, to false claim that her daughter has participated certain public performance. Therefore, I understand why some schools/principals do not count on the profile/CV because those could be false statemens. How come the parent made the whole thing so competitive?

This is the first time I heard parents make up such false record. My daughter has many friends who actually acheive prizes in public contest. What's the point of just participate.

I will apply 2 private schools: SFA and True Light.

For KV girls who applied for Good Hope, KV class teacher told me that this year they will ask children to draw picture on what they do during weekend/holiday. So can practice ahead.
