That's what I think too. It's really inconvenient that the pen doesnt work without being connected to the Hi Fi or TV. I myself don't want my kid to watch too much TV. So I would never buy it. Instead, I'm considering the set of encyclopaedia by Smart Kids. The sound quality of the pen is quite good, and the contents of the encyclopaedia seems better.

Not EXACTLY the same.  DWE only got 6 books, while times got 12 books!!!

To my 4 yr old girl, she's not quite interested in DWE's encyclopedia.  But the one from ET really attracts her attention.  She's been consecutively day and nite for 3 days to ask me to read with her.

For the 發聲筆, it's very inconvenient, as need to plug onto TV and also the electricity.  So, the wires are everywhere.

Still haven't received the talkalong cards, hope it worths

No need for me to buy the FULL set of ET bor?  I only bought another bundle, including encyclopedia, encyclopedia Q&A, values and skills.

Though it can project on the TV and read out by pool pool, still somewhat boring though (to my 4 year old girl).  Maybe, that's what encyclopedia should be......

Yeah, I think better wait, becos' the technology's so fast these days.  They might have new edition in 1-2 years!

其實套套教材都貴架啦, 但小朋友學到幾貴都值番係度, 唔可以淨係用個價錢去衡量, 我以前就係只用價錢去睇d野值唔值, 一路都唔捨得買教材, 浪費左囡囡一歲前既學習時間, 好左我都未至於太遲, 依家用左迪士尼美語一年既時間, 真係見到成效!!

有d野係過左唔可以用錢買得番架, 但錢係可以搵得番, 所以唔好單睇價錢, 真係要了解係d乜

唔好咁講, 只係我同老公本身學歷唔好, 英文水平更加唔掂, 但唔想囡囡好似我地咁, 所以唸通左之後, 幾慳都要買套好既教材俾佢, 但都好安慰佢肯用之餘, 亦學得好好, 依家用左一年就已經初見成效。

其實唔只係我, 所有做父母既都會為下一代設想, 始終因為依定既教學制度唔好, 所有一定要未雨籌謀, 做得幾多得幾多
