聖方濟Vs德雅

各位媽咪:

我有個朋友女兒現讀德雅小二, 但想在升小三時轉入讀聖方濟, 不過心大心細, 因德雅有一條龍, 而她女兒現成績不錯, 請給意見,謝謝.

德雅小學是中文教學, 如轉入聖方濟各英小, 她的英文一定 很勁,  因我朋友曾幫他兒子也在小三轉入聖方濟各英小,  四個月後已轉回舊校, 他在舊校成績在前列, 但轉校成績搭尾班車(老師話他的英語理解慢, 唔識解題...), 非常抗拒上學. 所以轉校時要考慮清楚.  
女孩子讀德雅是一間很好的選擇,  有兩間學校打底, 德雅中學及聖母玫瑰.

因為我朋友認為她的女兒可以賞試更深的學校, 但又怕聖方濟不是一條龍, 沒有保証, 因為香港教育機制天天不同.

因為德小是中小, 多數升德中或聖母瑰玖(兩間都是英中),但我朋友不太喜歡以上两間, 她希望女兒可以入上智, 而聖方濟女仔大多升上智, 故心大心細.

如果小朋友能力強, 英文好可以考慮轉聖方濟各,  我早年睇過聖方濟各派位, 很多派往華仁.

一向以來, 聖方濟各的學生比例都是男生比女生多, 而我囝囝也是sfa學生, 他全班人數為44人, 但女生只有9位. 以我個人認為,  其實男或女也沒有所謂, 是要視乎家長怎樣想,  我本人只希望囝囝在小學時打好基礎, 有良好的英語程度, 當他升上中學的時候, 是要靠他自己的實力, 同時也希望他在小學時, 所學的東西會對他日後會有很大的幫助.

If I were you, first I will see whether your daughter can catch up the standard of SF since they are quite tough and the workload are very heavy. if you think your one is capable to catch up, I will agree to change it because TNS secondary school is not very top but only medium level but if you choose SF, you can choose Holy Trinity or even better secondary school. (Depends on the academic result of your daughter).

In my opinion, I will choose a better school although my children cannot rank top in it rather than a fair school but rank top in it.

Most important is too evaluate your own kids and find one that suitable for him/ her
