請英基家長比d意見？

1) 今年囡囡要讀幼兒園了，我想往後比囡囡讀英基的小學，請問讀邊間幼兒園及幼稚園會較大機會入到英基的小學呢？我亦知道英基有二間幼稚園，但兩間的地點到離我家什遠。

2) 英基的小學是不是全部都要考入的，或有某些幼稚園是可以直入的呢？

3) 如讀英基的話對往後去英國留學有無幫助呢？

4) 英基的英基全寫是什麼？

5) 你地有無英基的comment呢？

1) All ESF Primary school would take their own interview before your get a place. I think it would a bit help if your child studying in their kindergarten before, but they are not guarantee of straight forward to ESF Primary.

2) Basicly, they are only allowe speak english in school, this is very important that your kid can speak fluently english. It would be of course help if he is going to continue studying in any country.

3) 英基 (ESF) stand for English Speaking Foundation

My daughter is going to study grade 1 in ESF in coming September. Somebody told me that nothing of Chinese could be learnt in ESF. Do you think that Kumon Mandarin is necessary to be arranged in this summer vacation for my daughter? Pls share.

Grade 1 students will have Mandarin lessons twice a week.  When students go to upper grades, they will learn to write Chinese characters in simplified version but don't expect too much.  Of course Kumon lesson can be a means to enhance your child's Chinese standard but you may also enrol your child in the after-school Chinese lessons offered by the school.

Dear Da Da,

Is your kid studying at ESF?  Do you mean that ESF has offered after school Chinese Lesson?  How much is it costed?

Actually I am interested to know in additional to the $4730 tuition fee, are there other fees?  Are the after school activities costly in ESF?

I will apply ESF for my daughter, I want to know how much budget per month I should plan to support her.

ESF有很多課外活動有些需要另外付費, 有些不用, 看你自己選擇哪一種.

中文課程是外面的公司進來做的, ESF只是提供課室並沒有參與其他教學事宜, 我PM中文課程的資料給你參考.

朋友的女兒今年9月升K3，她想為女兒報ESF的
小學，請問各位ESF的家長，她應做什麼準備，

表一併交給學校嗎??? 有用嗎??
她的女兒現就讀一般中英文幼稚園，學校每日都
有英文課，但父母在家沒有和她說英語，她80%
看得懂英文兒童節目，能用簡單英語溝通，考入
學試時會考些什麼???  父親能說流利英語，但母
親不懂英語，會有問題嗎???

My son will be applying for Beacon Hill School this September for Year 1 in 95/96.
As they teach Simplified Chinese, how do you think about it ? good or bad ?

Too late for your friend to apply ESF lah. Same to your friend's daughter, my daughter is currently in K2 and will start ESF grade 1 this coming September.

Please note:
Local K2 = ESF kindergarten or ESF reception class
Local K3 = ESF Grade one
Local Grade one = ESF Grade two
