Supplement - Yew Chung
Regarding difficult to differentiate who is teacher/parent/maid, I may share what I observe there. Yew Chung offers good “separation” process. If your child is in their playgroup, and may promote to age 2 class in coming 1 month, YC will start to separate your child from caretaker, starting form 1 hour and gradually increase to 2.5 hours. During the caretaker absent, YC will make sure either teacher/maid/ assistant will hold your child, comfort them… not just leave them to cry. Then they also start to bring your child to age 2 class occasionally, to let him get familiar with the new environment, before total switching him to new classroom, which the teacher did not told you, but did it. So, your child will be given care. No need to worry. Parent there are well understand what YC is doing and quite patient with it, as the separation is taking turn for each child. So, if the child is not promoted from playgroup, I am not sure how YC works it out. But sure they will allow flexibility to let caretaker to stay longer without disturbing others. Child there will be very happy and being care. Just share experience and what I observe there. Hope not to offense anyone. (No ideas on Primary
and secondary)
For Vicxxxx, I do joined their interview there, and got an offer. Despite I did not like the interview, I do find the programs are good, like inquiry based approach, shared reading and jolly phonics program are good.
