我囡囡係係細囡 (12月份), 請問你們會點解要選擇國際英文幼稚園? 有沒有國際的家長比多點意見及資料我...可以了解多點這間學校才可以選擇

This is one of the question that SC asked
in the interview.

B'cos I think the school curriculum is not too easy
and not too hard.  English is good compared to
most of the local kindergartens.  Fees are reasonable.
Teachers are kind and caring.  Lots of activities for
kids.  Children are not required to write too early.....
Besides, both of my daughters are happy there.

Thank you so much for your information. My daughteri s small baby (both in Dec 2005)... I would like to know more information from SC...then make a decision...I know SC has a fine reputation.
So I don't don't how to choose SC or SN...

多謝你的意見...我想知道St. Catherine自行分配小一學位都派位的資料...大約係幾時要交9月份學費呀! St. Catherine係唔係Everyday 都有English老師&國語老師上堂呀!!係唔係雙班主任一個English老師&一個中文老師呢

You may choose Cantonese or English and whatever
languages you choose won't affect the result of the
interview.  If you want to apply Eng/PTH class, your
kid needs to attend PTH interview as well.

It doesn't matter that your kid was born at the end of the
year if she has the ability, she'll be successful in the
interview.  SC will separate the kids into different classes,
i.e. kids born in the first half of the year in one class and
kids born in the 2nd half of the year in another class....
If you like to learn more about SC, read other topics
under SC.  You'll find out some mums like SC very much
but some others don't.  Read about their comments.

其實你自己想搵間點樣嘅幼稚園, 想小朋友將來升邊間小學..??..有D KG 有直屬小學, 升小無咁煩...
小朋友性格屬那類??... 你自己個人有無特別要求, 如工作太忙難請假 等等???

我本人就這樣揀...要 英文強, 2文3語, 活動教學, 開心上學, 能涵接小學課程, 價錢合理, 學校行政及管理要 有水準不能混亂(因小朋友太細)... SC 全部都做得到, 當然都有其他KG 可選擇, 而我見SC連D校工都很ｎｉｃｅ，辦學已over 30年... 講真SC 的確係出名, 投考私小..多少都有點優勢的..　

小女自幼 英文比中文好, 我覺得知識應從語言開始, 聽講小朋友7歲前是學習語言黃金時期, SC 出名英文教得好, 尤其是 phonics..
K1 雙班主任(1中1英)...

活動教學小朋友懂發問, 主動性很強...

我囡今年 K2, 舊年K1 1年10個月內有4次outing, 今年都有4次.. 除左去Ocean Park 貴D之外(要入場費), 其餘都只是付 $20-$30.. 有些還是免費的...
除了每月 3千多元的學費+1次約$700.-雜費外, 沒有任何收費..價錢合理 算幾抵 tim..

缺點都有的**
有國語讀...可惜就弱左D, 好似每星期1-2次, 除非你小朋友入讀英普班... (這點入讀後才知的, 所以我囡有返課外活動 學普通話)

如果小朋友性格內向, 需要特別照顧... 那要考慮吓, SC 人多... 照顧方面就一定不能與小班教學的KG比, 各有各好喇...

校舍比較差D, 睇你彩數, 有D課室都ＯＫ...有D 就~~都可以接受(見仁見智)

SC 都有好多親子習作, 又有outing, 又會請家長回校做義工(大部份家長都會參與, 我的女兒就投訴我無參加, 我唯有報名), 如果各下工作非常忙碌, 你可能會覺得有壓力...

May I know how many kids in one class ? what is the ratio of teacher and kids ?

有D 2X人, 有D 3X人, 要睇返課室 size...
我囡2年都係3X人, around 32人.. 有D同學開學後轉了校, 現時剩下29人, 會有助教老師幫手....(total 3個 miss, 係咪全日都有3個miss 跟足, 我就唔太清楚)

但聽聞(K2) 2X人班, 都唔一定好的, 平日上堂會以grouping 方式的, grouping 時會將 2班 2X人group埋一齊上堂= 用40人 再分組, 好似話好嘈好亂 ??...因那課室是2合1的, 中間有"搪"板隔開, grouping 時, 推開"搪"板2班一齊上, 但實際情況如何,我唔太清楚了 ??

我囡今年K2, 我回校做義工(小老師), 我眼見是小朋友 好有秩序, 老師會分4組, 大約6人一組, 分別是 中、英、數 、手工, 另外仲有些未被分組的小朋友可去玩玩具/電腦/去 playground 玩一陣, 每位小朋友 完成手上的習作便會自行移步去下一組繼續做其他習作, 去左玩嗰D 都識得走返嚟 完成D分組習作 .... 佢地好叻架, 仲識去張 list,  tick 返自己個名, 讓老師知道已完成了那些工作...
我好滿意, 覺得SC教得好好...
Miss 話 K2(lower class) 就開始教佢地咁做, K1 太細未識咁做..
