Dear BK mom,

有無讀緊or in 過既媽咪可以幫幫手，呀女下個禮拜in nursery，知唔知會問乜，係咪好formal既interview，係咪好難入，因為呀女見生保人唔係好肯講說話，真係好擔心，請幫幫忙! ｍａｎｙ thanks!

the teacher will let the kid play different toys and chat with the kid and watch if the kid has eye contact with people, understand english well or not, will be to shy and stick with parents or not... then the teacher will ask the parents question like "is he still need nappies?" "when did he start to walk ..etc" very simple. Just relax!

Thanks you for the reply, anything that i need to prepare for the interview? I still very worry, cos i have no piority to get in, but i will move to Tai po a few month later, HLYIS is my first choice, i really want my daughter to get in!

係面試前一晚早D瞓,
面試當日要預早到達,
(多廿三十分鐘)
帶小朋友係學校行下先,
比佢望下冇咁陌生,
去下洗手間,
比D小零食或飲品佢,
同佢講等陣有個姐姐同佢玩,
會一齊傾下偈,
總之唔好比個小朋友太緊張,
當然,你自己都唔好太緊張

the teacher will conduct the interview and will see the kids and chat with parents. after this interview, a letter will be sent u to invite u for an interview with the principal. No need to bring the kid along that day and the principal will have a chat with you, to see parents' english standard. The principal is very friendly. Wishing you all the best!!

Don't think they have nursery classes, earliest will be 4 years old.

If you are preparing for the interview, make sure you read the directions carefullly about where to go. I made the very stupid mistake of going to their primary campus when their interview is in fact held on their high school campus.

Hi all,

Hong Lok Yuen (HLYIS) does have nursery class. In fact, they accept the children from 2 yrs 8 months (pre-nursery) and even have toddlers playgroup from 1.5 yrs old.
