I do not have any idea of the level of P1.  I have checked with St Lei Lu before but didn't register as I would like to see if we can handle it or not.

My elder son has gone to the other totorial centre before for 2 months in 2 different centres.  So you could imagine how GOOD are the centres la, just wasting time and money.  My son complaint it's too noisy in the centre that he could not concentrate on his homework and I heard from the mother of his best friend, her son had the same comment as well.  Therefore, I am planning to have a trial in the first term by ourselves and decide the next action.

Thanks your information, very informative and helpful.  I appreciated that you have clearly mentioned that your information is for those parents who are not request very high.  Therefore, we have more idea on how to do and what we can get.

I have one question, as we are not living too close to the school but the school is using cycle system.  Is there any headaches for arranging the extra activities(outside) after school?  Because every Monday maybe day 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6......., that means every monday they finish school in different time if they have activity from school, so the time is not easy to control.

The school hours are the same everyday.  They have School Activities class within school hours.  
@@ So good that it is within the school hours.@@

If you choose to join other school activities (which are not many for P.1, most will join Computer class but you still need to go through a lucky draw screening), it will be held regularly on a particular weekdays or Saturdays.
@@So glad to hear such arrangement as more easy for the time arrangement.@@

I remember that School Activities class for P.1 is just some handcrafts unless you are chosen to join the choir.

Just a reminder, on the first day of school, you are going to get many circulars to read and reply, so you better make sure you have enough time and energy to finish them all.

According to what I heard, the teacher will speak in English although they know the girls are not too familiar with English or some/most/all of them are not fully understand.  The teacher hope the girls won't rely on any luck to change the channel.  Let them get use with the new medium environment.  Mostly the girls can handle it in the 2nd term, every year is like this.

Thank very much for your reply.  May I know what will they do during the P1 Orientation day? Is it also open for the parents as well? As I really have no idea regarding how big is the school, therefore, I also want to have a site visit so that when my daughter tell me this and that, I could have a clear picture.

Oh, I feel sorry to hear the working speed is that slow of your daughter.  I understand your feeling!!!  My elder son is opposite to your daughter, he does his homework very fast BUT he makes many careless mistakes because of this as well.  So every kids has their own problem.  I have headache on how to improve his careless as well.  Are you feel more comfort after hering what I said!! haha

May I know what kind Chinese or English book is suitable? I mean how difficult or many words are there could meet the school level?

The homework load is really less, many student can finish it in 10-15 minutes.  But, my princess could finish it in 2 hours or mo ...

Yes, I also wonder how come their text books are that less??  Much lesser than my son's school.   Is anyone know are there any more exercise book we have to buy from the school later or the school will provide worksheets? As SPN no needs to buy books as well, because the school provides all the materials.

Yes, When I compare with MPS, our cost is almost half of this and other school. Many school cost about 2200+ for textbook only.  I think we may have some more extra supplementary exercises later Like the creative writing that we need to buy it seperately.  However Current P1 parents, can you share??

@@NO, as I found that is not beautiful.  I saw the existing P1 girl can put other hair clips but of course something like blue or white colour and with simple design.  Any existing parents can give advise as well on this issue?  I want to buy it before Sept.@@

Finally I decided to buy a SEVEN Schoolbag for my girl because it was light and well protected and More Fashionable but expensive.  I got some comments from other parents??

Girl is enjoying summer holiday and no class at all.

Ching Kung didn't call for the Magic Eng and I still could not get it today from Ling Kee.  Will call Ching Kung for checking the stock tomorrow.  Thanks for your warm remider.

FYI:  Have you all got the uniforms already? I got them from 2 shops and both my husband and I found that the quality from the shop next to their school is better than Joseph.  I think the colour of the uniform from Joseph is too dark and the cloth is not soft enough so not too comfortable.  I got 4 sets from Joseph and I brought two sets to exchange for winter uniform as I prefer the one I bought from the next shop more.   Besides, the P.E. pants I exchanged today from Joseph is better, the cloth is not linen, so more comfortable than the one I bought from school (Joseph) on the registration day.
