You could teach the baby colour, shapes, name of the things, different type of cars, different type of balls, food, opposite, etc.
You can also read the story to the baby and watch the VCD as well. You can also listen and sing the songs with them as well.

according to developmental checklist:
19-24 months:
build 5-7 cubes (1"x1")
hold crayon to draw straight and circular scribble
imitate vertical strokes with crayon
thread 2.5cm beads
complete 3 pieces puzzle
match circle, triangle and square
play with screwing toy (unscrew only)

These are from the checklist that my son's therapist gave me, hope it can help you la!

教佢認野。我記得我仔歲半開始，就教佢認顏色，認大階字母，數數目等等，但每次只可好集中咁教少少，不能急仲要成日repeat，再加VCD及書本的配合，到我未到2歲可以自己背A-Z，做到好多顏色配對，e.g. 橙色對carrot, 黄色對banana.....。

可以教任何佢有興趣的東西. 只要佢學得來好開心就得.

其實好簡單, 多d同bb傾計, 同佢講故事, 俾機會佢自己照顧自己, 行街時見乜講乜, 可以的話比佢摸下, 已經好好. 最好多d同佢地出街玩, 睇下唔同類型的事物, 做多d運動跑多d步, 佢地成日都開心, 學乜都會快d.

I only have the checklist for 24 months to 36 months since my son is 2.5 years old. Maybe you tell me how old is your child and I try to ask the therapist for that.

去逛街見到乜都可以教佢(例如,去超市見到蘋果,可以教係紅色,apple.....等)

就算全個世界　亦都失去　他也在這裡全場突然寂靜　他都給我衷心的讚許就算誰愛過我又給收去他熾熱不退旁人視為負累　他偏不覺苦　靜心等我歸去如何大成大敗　他的寵愛中　亦都只有一歲共誰玩共誰做伴侶進步到某一點　熱情就會退共同進退唯獨是父母這一對

Dear all mums,

Oh!! many of you want the checklist ar! I have asked my therapist, the checklist is from 0 months to 6 years old, total more than 20 pages. The therapist said that the activities on the checklist are not suitable for all, an assessment should be conducted first and the suitable activities will be selected out. Therefore can't just follow the checklist absolutely.

If you are interested, I can give you the email of my therapist and you can send mail to ask her more.

Anyway, I have the checklist for 24-36 months, for those mums whose child is this age and still want my checklist, I can send to you!

Totally agree with what Tina said.
Besides, let your kid learn in a 3 D way (EXPERIENCE).
Whenever wandering and see something.  Draw your kid's ATTENTION (your kid's eye sight) to the thing.  TALK to your kid in a PROPER LANGUAGE / WORD. If possible, let him/her TOUCH it.  When he touch it, you may DESCRIBE its texture / touching feel.  You may even test his / her comprehension by asking WHERE is that thing.  REMEMBER, Let him/her learn in a HAPPY way.  They always want to explore new things.

It's my experience.  Although they may not reply in any word, but DO pay attention to their response.  It may come from his/her body language, facial expression.  Some things he/she may try to reply with "sound".

Remember, let him/her learn with interest and in the HAPPIEST way.
