Hi everyone
My son still in slow progress in our great reading scheme for preparing the upcoming school year.
How about you all? I reserved the name list of the upcoming P.1 boys' name. Because my boy is very bad in remembering classmates' names. I'm afraid he is not good in this when P.1.

i'll start to 'train' my son from jan08
hope he's ok lah
i worry he can only remember and write not many chinese words
i've heard that the maths standard is also high in p1
we'll have lots of things to do

I don't understand the meaning of reading 30+30 books.
1) I read 30+30 books to my son
2) My son read 30+30 books by himself (unlikely can be done).

that's only u guide yr son to read. He should read 30 chinese and 30 english books himself. in order to increase his vocabularary store. u read to him is good but he should read himself under ur supervision.

My son is a small son and it is not easy. I will start after the mid year exam in Januanry. Keep up to update the progress and encourage each other for this tough job.

My son is also a small boy (Dec2002).
I also want to start the 'training' from Jan08

My son is 3 months older than yours and my classmate's son is 2 months older than yours. A lot of small boys.

my son is Sept boy too. This X'mas holiday I give him exercise books to do everyday for his must. the 1st thing is to train him to read the instructions. Those are words too. that 's his everyday task before playing.

我個仔真係最細個隻
宜家有時都想下係咪應該當年(nursery/k1)俾亞仔遲一年讀書呢?
不過, 我地又覺得佢都應該ok呀
唉, 唔理咁多了, 盡力啦

My son commenced to learn writing and reading chinese last summer. His writing is still very very slow. Anyways, he has a wonderful christmas holiday as we have brought him to DisneyLand and Thomas the train hotel.

where's the thomas train hotel?

During Christmas holiday, Gold Coast Hotel at Tuen Mun offered "Thomas and Friends" package as there was a lot of Thomas and Friends decloration and toys. The hotel name should be "Gold Coast Hotel" and my son called it "Thomas the Train Hotel".
