培基小學 is not an international school!  It is a local Chinese primary.  You won't have any communication problems.

Teachers in IS are native English (except Mandarin teachers), so have to communicate in English.  Usually they communicate with parents through emails and messages written in diaries.  However, there is of course parents meetings during the year.

I think more important thing is to get acceptance first before you worry about communications.

Hinhongma,

Teachers in IS are mostly very considerate.  They won't
expect your English would be as good as them.  In the case you meet them, just ask them to talk slower to you.  I think they are willing to adjust the speed of their conversations.  But the most important of all is that your daughter can be accepted by the school.

My son is in RCHK primary.  Before the parent-teacher conference is held this year, the classteacher sent a notice to parents to schedule for the meeting.  A note was written at the bottom of the sheet asking parents if they need an interpreter during the conference.  I guess the teacher would ask a Chinese speaking staff in the school for such help.  I don't know if this applies to all classes.  It's very nice that the teacher/school is so considerate.

Saturn.

As far as what I know, the school does not provide interpreting services to parents. It was probably arranged by your child's teacher.
