請問王錦輝小學學生家長,你們認為學校的校風, 教學質素, 師資, 學習生活如何??  你們滿意嗎????

我個囡好好彩被學校取錄(08/09 小一),所以我好希望知多 d關於學校的資料. 謝謝!!!

我囝囝今年才讀一年級，所知如下：
1. 校風
一般咁，冇話特別好唔好，有乖有唔乖嘅學生

2. 教學質素
Grade 1似乎比一般小學淺，但相信是適應期，之後會catch up，個人不prefer太深，以免打擊小朋友學習興趣

3. 師資
100%大學畢業，英文由外籍老師教，專科專教，應該唔錯，老師都好有愛心及教學熱誠

4. 學習生活
多姿多采，Other Learning Experinec有幾十種活動任選，上課都結合活動教學

5. 滿意程度
非常滿意 (so far)

你知不知如讀了六年後，可否選擇中央升中派位呢?將來是否會不斷加學費呢?我怕負擔不起。

I and my daughter loves that school very much, because, this school is very energetic and give a lot of incentive to the students to develope their learning...

anyway, I feel this school, 課程上的確較傳統名校淺, 有很多同學好叻, 所以應付有餘, 但在一些project 上, 同學不大認真去做, because, the teachers are so nice that they are so positive and  always praising the kids as far as they have done.  so the kids just did it, but without really putting effort in it.  I feel the teachers are really勤奮和耐心, they put a lot of effort to teach, specially compare to my daughter's old school.   

However, somehow, I heard from my daughter that some classmates always didn't do their homeworks.  in a parent-teacher meeting, I had heard one mummy said to the teacher that''pls keep on eye to my son as he always do not do his homework.'   I think it is not teacher's reponsibility, it should be the boy and the parent's responsibility.

this school always had teacher, parents meeting, I feel some of the parents think that once they paid for the school fee, means they don't have to responsible for their kids....

in short, this is a very potential good school and the teachers are very nice and enthuasiatic.   but somehow, students will take advantage on it, getting too loose and too carefree.

1. 有參加教育署評核試的學校學生都可參加派位，你可以打個電話去學校問吓，印象中學校是有參加的，但不敢肯定

2. DSS學校加學費要政府批准，應該唔會太離譜，私校反而要擔心啲

多謝大家的回應.  我亦相信 BU 對學校的support 會好強, 對學校的教學質素亦有一定的保證.  

唔知是否壓力太大, 我見到d老師及校務處 D staff 好似目無表情, 頭茸茸似的. 但見到你地話d老師好有愛心及教學熱誠, 我都安心D.  

想請問各位媽咪, 學校主要的教學語言是否纯英語及普通話呢??  我個囡現在讀國際幼稚園, 所以英語發音及程度都幾ok, 我想個囡上小學後可以繼續保持水準.

另外想問(唔好意思, 有咁多問題),  外面好似聽到 D 好負面的comments - 如學校老師 turnover rate 好高, 現任校長 (Dr Chan) 唔係幾好, 學校direction 唔清晰等 ........ 其實是否真有其事 ??

學校的英文科是由Native-English speakers 的老師教的，但他們不一定是金頭髮的。其他科目如數學、科學、音樂、美術和體育是用英文教授的，當然遇到同學不明白的時候，老師會用廣東話解釋的。中文是用普通話教的，這是我最喜歡的，因為女兒巳經不怕用普通話和人交談，即使不懂或錯了，也勇於嘗試。唯一一科是用廣東話的就是人文素質，有些像常識。
我本人都去過校務處和致電過校務處很多次，我覺得啲職員好主動和好有禮貌，可能你去的時候，他們真的好忙呢!
至於負面新聞，基本上所有多人爭的學校都有。老師走有好多原因，浸會大學 對老師的要求很高，很多東西都要經他們審批才有決定，所以質素唔好的老師就要走，那些怕辛苦的老師，教了一年，取了經驗，都走。所以今年有留下，繼續在學校任教的老師真的不錯。
主要負責小學部的人是副校長Miss Din，她真是一位有責任的校長，很多學生都很喜愛她。至於現在的署理校長陳校長，我很少接觸，不予置評。

想問問上課如何結合活動教學呢?是不是會玩遊戲或是做project ?
另外我亦想聽過net teacher唔係真你咁多，是真的嗎?我囡囡都被浸小收咗，所以都想知多啲，唔好意思

1.  活動教學 ─ 阿仔話上英文課老師會用puppet同佢哋對話，會玩好多遊戲學英文如word wall, I spy 等，又會請小朋友出嚟show and tell, 訓練presentation; 中文會唱歌唸詩、說故事，又會叫小朋友剪報紙; 數學會分組玩遊戲比賽, problem solving etc

2. net teacher - 每班一位NET班主任+local teacher, 即雙班主任，英文由 net teacher 教，英文是全級分7組，每組約廿多人

學校staff 真係值得讚，好responsive，逢call必覆，好快處理家長問題，我個仔初時擔心小學老師會惡啲 (因表哥嚇佢)，但返學後話老師super nice, 成個人開心哂！所以我都好grateful!

很多謝你詳細的解釋，但係咁多不利嘅新聞實在令我對學校信心不足，如果有家長仍然咁支持學校的確會令我增加入讀嘅決心，因為阿女都係浸幼出品，希望可以同小學理念銜接。咁請問開始咗家長課程未呢?

「不利新聞」是指什麼？我只會相信自己親眼所見，或可信的朋友所言，so far 真係睇唔到啲乜問題，但阿仔只係讀咗短時間，我又唔敢話完全係咁好 lor。你問我，我自己覺得學校管理、行政、老師質素、教學課程等都滿意，如果要話啲乜嘢唔好，我唯一係覺得啲學生似乎太active，這個問題和其他新式的私立直資以至國際學校都係common 嘅，唔知係咪因為呢啲學校收生喜歡外向和active型？？

My daughter will also go to this school
next year.  We want to know more
about the school.  Since this school is
so new, it seems that we have to take
risk and no track record of their public
exam results can be found.  Your sharings do ease our
anxiety and we can have more confidence in our choice.

But I think if the parents trust the school and co-operate with the school, our
child will enjoy happy school life.

我聽人講,話這間學校的功課量很少,主要都係做project多,但這麼小的學生其實不懂得怎樣去做,最後都係家長去做每一份project,事情真的是這樣嗎?
如果是這樣,不是沒有了意義嗎?

It depends on what kind of parent you are.  If you always want your kid to get A for all the projects, you might think you need to spend a lot of time on the projects.  I am not this kind of parent and my son has his own idea of doing his project, like what to make using recycle material and of what kind of transport vehicles.  I support him by getting pictures or leaflets from MTR etc.  He is in P.2 and only LA demands more parent's help.  Like last week, he was asked to design the new national flag and I just let him do it.  Well he only got B or B- but I don't really mind.

One thing is true that his handwriting is no good but he enjoys school and loves all the teachers.  Last year, he earned the stamp for the wish to have lunch with a teacher.  I don't think you will get this kind of teacher-student relationship in most of the schools.

This is why this school selects parents with the same vision.  Otherwise, many complaints to come in the future.
