I think everyone has an equal chance for an interview.  
KTS only interviews the kids, not the parents.

As per my memory, I don't think KTS will offer the interviews to all applicants.  They should collect all application forms and selected the appropriate applicants for interviews.....

They can select based on which kindergarten, school report, background of parents - address, occupation...these are the normal major things considered by most DSS/private schools.

I have also submitted my son's portfolio in once with the application form....

但我都聽過有人話報左名但無得interview就 on waiting list囉喎!

You may get the notice of interview by entering their website on 12-10-2007.
