I think so!!   I think SPCC choose the children in rich/famous families and not because of the child's talent or potential!!:tongue:

Totally agreed:   They are fair and based on the result of the 1st interview but not the background.  I know some kids studying in this school are from very ordinary families.

oxford university got 14,000 applicants who got 3-4 grade a, oxford got 3.200 places in degree programme, the suceesful chance is 3,200 / 14,000 =?

wa! assume 2,000 applciants of which 1,400 is unconnected with spcc, fighting for 45 places,
look figures wor!
45 / 1400 = ?

105/ 600 connected applicants with spcc
= ?

wa! we see uncconected applicants chance is vey low which is the fact/fat la!

我想是名氣啦,當你告訴人你的小朋友是讀這間畢業,他一定話這間學校很難入,你小朋友真是叻啦,而且當他大過後對他找工作也有一定幫助,而且08年有新校舍,環境及設施都好好!!但其實不是中上家庭能夠考到的話,我相信在這校讀書的過程中,應該會遇到讀書以外的問題,$$$$............. 因為第一次in的時候我都feel到來in的家長應該有一定的收入,我都收唔到信 2 nd in,初頭都很難接受, 但現在只好等其他學校消息 .........

Ordinary families means that they are related or unrelated to the school.  The point is not about money, but just they give very little chance to non-related familiy disregard how smart is your kid.
