My girl had done Stanford-Binet Test when she was 4.5   years old.  Her result is 128.  The psychologist said that Stanford is more updated and complicated than WISC.  So, she said that my girl "most likely" is a gifted child if she'll   do the WISC after 5 years old.  I'm still thinking whether to let her do the WISC when she reached 5 years old.  It seems like she's a border-line case.

I recommend children do the WISC (韋氏) test after 8 years old. The test will be more accurate since the brain is more developed at that time.

My son tried SB when he was 4.5 yrs old. My intention was for WSIC, but as he was below 5, the psychologist recommended us to take SB, then he did it. his score was 118. The psychologist recommended us to do WSIC later which is commonly acceptable in HK and the database is more localised, but SB no such database (7 yrs ago, may be changed).

My son did WSIC when he was 7 yrs and 10 months old. The result is 130+.

My daughter took the test at Step Child's Assess. I've PM the phone no. to you.  It cost $3000.  The reason for me arranging the test for my girl so early because she is emotional in the way that makes me worry.  After the test, I feel much better because, at least, I know that she does     not have any problem, mentally and on her learning ability.

hi all,
i'm considering to do IQ test for my son (4y8m) as well.
just not yet decided when to take it.
also, will u do anything after u find out if it clost to 130?
i mean, will u let your child join any course (for the gifted child) ?

Most parents arranged the IQ test for their kids not just want the score for primary school application. They will search some programs to enhance theirs kids ability and challenge their potential.

My son is good at Maths, he took the Maths program of EPGY (Education program for gifted youth - Stanford University), I know anoter similar program in run by John Hopkins, but not very popular in HK.

May be others parents can share other programs related to different giftness, like language, leadership etc.

My girl is almost 4 years-old. She can speak 3 languages and her thinking way seems rather mature......I suspected she is a gift-child in early years, but my husband and me both are not sure and potentially hope she grows in a normal way, so we did not try to teach her more things even sometimes she seems interested and ready to catch......I am so hesitated to confirm if she is a gift-child or not.

On the other hand, I get more and more worried now. Willwe waste her gift-abilities as she grows more and more "normally"?

Could anyone here advise us? and how to take those tests please?

我仔最近都做左史丹福呀,不過好似無耐性呢欄(?),同埋好似唔係好詳細....我諗六七歲會再同佢做多一次韋氏,睇清楚佢強弱項

浄係睇到佢喺100個外國小朋友中, 排第幾; 其實我都打算會幫囡囡再做韋氏, 睇清楚佢強弱項, 知道點培養囡囡.
