Sorry that I didn't reply you in time ... I'd been to the orientation.  They first introduced the school structure as a whole and all the major teachers/panels.  Then we got back to our own class discussion where we met our 3 class-mistresses.  They explained some classroom arrangement/routines and showed some teaching materials.  Yeah, as told by Kate, you can find most of the material in the folder.

I agreed that the school arrangement is a bit disappointing.  The large class surprised me on the 1st day also.  It is also a bit odd to shorten the time for birthday party with such a short notice.  Thanks for your information about the teaching arrangement of 普通話發音& phonics.  I am not aware of that.  My another query is that why my son's schoolbag is still empty after 1 month of school, w/o handbook and other textbooks?  I asked Ms Ho that day when the real class will start and when handbook will be given so that I can keep track of my son's progress.  She said in fact the real class has just started and handbook will be issued asap.  But another week went by la ... still can't see anyother updates...

I'll ring Mr Ho up these couple of days to get more information on my queries and also the teaching arrangement of 普通話發音& phonics.  Hope I can have more positive feedback from them.  I once also felt unsure when seeing my son in the first couple of weeks saying no to school and even crying in class.  I just wonder whether I made a right choice for switching him to here from his N1 school where he had a very great time.  But it seems that he is getting used to the new environment and he starts saying he likes to go to school these days.  So maybe give both the kids and the school sometime.

各位，

本來係我開這個topic，不過我今日都退左學了，返左一個月學，我覺得比我想像中差，我本來因為會搬過香港區而考這間學校，但係後來因為無搬到所以留在九龍住，不過想住試下返先，睇下好唔好先再算，不過我覺得個外籍老師好唔主動，又唔多講野，同埋太多人一班，現在轉左去國際學校，我今日已fax左封信返學校，我都cut左自動轉脹了．

我的囝囝都係喺海峰園讀pn, 而家喺天后興發街嗰間讀k1, 我自己覺得Victoria overall都ok, 如果唔係我都唔會俾個囝讀。
話Management亂, 今年開學時又真係亂咗d, 但係舊年我就唔覺得, 或者因為唔同咗校舍掛?! 但其後時間我覺得ok的。
另外, 而家已經開始接受報名了, 報名表可以上網download又或者親身去取都得。至於interview, Victoria會將小朋友分成一個個小組, 大約4-5個
(不太記得), 然後入課室 (家長可以一齊的), 就好像上堂一樣, 有玩具在枱上, 小朋友可以自由玩, 跟着老師會走埋去同小朋友玩, 或者問一些問題, 例如架車咩色呀? 會用唔同語言因為有一個外國teacher, 一個普通話teacher, 一個廣東話teacher一齊interview。跟住就由外國teacher 講story, 睇下小朋友有冇反應, 然後會一齊唱歌, 又係睇下小朋友會唔會一齊唱, 跟住就由廣東話teacher帶領一齊做手工, 睇下小朋友識唔識跟住做。與此同時, 會有一個外國teacher問家長一此關於小朋友的問題, 例如平時小朋友邊個照顧, 在屋企講咩語言多, 及你想讀
am or pm咁。最後會送小禮物俾小朋友, 睇下小朋友會唔會講 thank you。其實interview都唔太難, 如果有返開playgroup, 大致上同playgroup玩的野都差唔多。最重要係當日小朋友瞓足覺及食得飽, 唔扭計已經可以了。

唔記得講, 我好鍾意Victoria的茶點, 它唔會日日都係食餅呀, 麵包呀咁, 佢會有好多唔同的熱食, 例如: 麥皮, 粟米粥, 薯蓉, 通粉, 豆腐匙, 雲吞, 粟米片…等, 有時又會食carrot, 西蘭花, 節瓜等…另外佢地飲既juice 都係有機的。

其實Victoria CWB唔係唔好，只不過我返左一個月覺得唔係我自己想的，因為我後來決定讀國際學校，所以先決定退學，我囡囡都讀得好開心的．

The K1 class of CWB Victoria is first running IB program this school year.  So both the teachers, as well as parents like me, may need sometime to get familiar with it.  After a parents' orientation day last month and the recent issue of a curriculum booklet, I got a clearer picture of it.  

At my boy's perspective, he's got quite adapted to his K1 days in Victoria.  He's getting more involved and happier in his school life.  Just like 豬仔軒'sson, my boy also tells me quite happily what he ate at school... alsoalways sing the songs taught at school ... and always mention the names ofhis 3 class mistresses.  Sounds like quite missing them especiallyduring weekends...
