Anyone try GC's phonics ? Is it good and worth buying ?

My daughter 2 yr 5 mths, she likes to listen the CD & books but I only bought first set only.  For her, she likes to follow the 節奏 to read/sing, so I believe it is works.   

Just my opinion only.

My baby is 4 month old now.  I played the CD and read the book with him since he's 3 month old.  I play only one letter to him each time since he can't concentrate for too long.  I play one letter to him for the whole week.  He smiles and likes to read the letter only at the first few times.  When he feels he is familiar with the letter/the page he looks away from the book several times during the CD playing.  Recently, he " ee ee ar ar" together with the rthyme of the CD.  I don't know whether he is following the CD to sing!!??

I played the CD to the baby since his first month. He likes the rhythm and produces sounds too.

but now, he likes the Disney Sing Along more.

I think U should try " Phonic Kids" first (the same as GC's Phonic 1-3)... only $338.... I think it's enough for learning phonic....
Then U can spend other time for learning other English material ma....

我個仔就用左近半年了，佢好鍾意而且都跟讀到好多個音，佢都係剛剛一歲都已經發到好多音，佢剛剛學緊level 4，我真係估唔到佢竟然blending兩個連音bl，sl，ch音都發到,我真係諗唔到。所以我覺得全套會好d,如果學左單音無學blending我諗好多音都會發得唔對,其實我都係用左先注意到d個係好重要的問題。我自己就覺得有步驟咁學就會好d.

hi, 我用緊full set.....一頭煙呀     ﹗不過都想問下你的小朋友幾歲﹖個人意見就係3歲前....好似其他兩位媽媽咁, 1歲前開始用會最好, 因為越細個就越能夠「你比乜佢學乜」。但係我仔仔3歲多時才開始, book 1&2就好ok, 去到book3&4就唔係好肯睇喇, 尤其是睇完第一次的book 3&4, 再循環睇第2次時, 仔仔直頭走左去或者睇第二d書.....角力左2個幾月 , 而家直情停晒, 轉左自己做d字卡同佢玩bingo遊戲....一句講晒, 我唔得閒同佢玩佢就唔會自己睇自己玩
我覺得佢地建議的使用流程唔係啱晒不同的小朋友的學習特性, 另一方面, 仔仔有時都會問我d圖畫係d乜黎, 的確有d圖不達意。不過單讀拼音字....如我講"c" "ow"...仔仔會講"cow", 我講"sh" "ell"...佢就話"shell", 唯有自己諗多d唔同的遊戲同佢玩啦。

不過, 除左要睇小朋友幾大之外, 仲要睇你想小朋友學乜嘢, 係拼讀能力? 認字? 早d識睇書? 定係生活英語先? 我自己就改變左, 而家著重後者, 用緊另一套教材, 話晒都係哈佛大學的語言專家設計, 雖然貴, 但係用左唔夠2個月, 仔仔明顯講多左英文, 聽力更加大躍進, 仲多左自己睇書...有時仲會自己讀添, 反而咁樣, 仔仔對文字多左留意呀

我都同意呀!我係一個bk朋友介紹我用GC Phonics o架，佢個囡囡都係三歲幾都係麻麻地,因為佢睇慣d動畫VCD唔肯睇d種,不過聽講佢後來又OK呀!好似gc有人教左佢第二個方法.我幫你問下佢呀!我問完再pm你呀,都買左係到唔好浪費,其實真係學到好多野o架,我數過淨係學生字我諗都成千個有多呀!問完再PM你。
