幾歲開始學phonics好

My friend who run an English centre for children told me that it is better for a child to learn phonics when they know how to write, as it will sink into their mind.  But I saw manny mummies here teaching their kids phonics as early as slightly more than one year old and it works.  What do you think?

It really depends on the children if they want to have proper class at an early age.  

Actually, casual conversation helps improve pronounciation, the children won't even notice you are in fact teaching them something at that moment.

In general, around 2 years old is a good time to start teaching phonics.
