I just called GHS , the enrollment letter will be send out at mid of July.  Parents need to register in the first week of August. We have to contact them if no letter received by end of July

I'm a bit afraid my girl can't adapt the p.1 school life in GHS, cos she's from active learning kindergarten and she is a "small girl"( born in Nov)  :-|

My situation is same as you ("small girl" & active learning kindergarten).  Hope our daughter can also adapt.

Hi everyone. Nice meeting you all here.

Although my daughter is the 'oldest' girl  (born on Jan) and comes from an 'active-learning' kindergarten, I am also worried that she will have hard-time studing in GH. However, I remember seeing what the principal of GH said to one of 06/07 GH P.1 parent, something like this, "Never under estimate what your daughter can do".

Me too. My daughter came from active learning kindergarten also. I'm afraid the workload about the homework as I'm still a working mother. What the name of your daughter's kindergarten??

Oh, I am a working mother too and sometimes won't get home until 8 or 9pm. I can see that it will be a big challenge for us (parents) as well. Really hope that the school work will not drive us too crazy...  

Lets keep reminding ourselves to 'RELAX' and 'Take it easy'...... :wink:

The first year is afternoon class, your girl can sleep a bit later at nite.  You can still help her after work.
But anyway, don't work too hard ! :

Working Mum is the most difficult job in the world  :wink:

I already brought some exercise books for my girl to do during this summer holidays, just to keep her daily homework hour like in kindergarten. The rest will be to enjoy the holidays.

I've asked the school office staff and was advised that we should receive the letter before August (I expect sometime in mid-July).
