As far as playing techniques, yes, she is on top of the rest of the competitors. She could have won just as well in other advanced open categories. Though she is in lower secondary, her age still falls under 15. She's got some of the best attributes:
星級伴琴+her own talents+ a marvelous antique violin. It was more like a performance show rather than a competition.. and a very good learning opportunity for my girl.

On top of N207 on Mar 4, Prof Velev was also the adjudicator of Class N209 Violin Sonata on
24th Feb. Both competitions took place at the Children's Treble Choir at Quarry Bay, Tai Koo.

早前本想是參加明天決賽那組,

I heard that all the prize winner (1st, 2nd and 3rd) in the N207 (4th March) got the honour certificate. Were all these player perform really good or becuase the adjudicator always give higher marks.

是的。其實2、3、4實力都相若，但與第一名有明顯的差距。第四名其實比第2、3好，可惜欠缺臨場經驗，發揮得不如理想，否則這位參賽者會入二甲。但評判都給于頗高的分數，令2、3、4名參賽者得到鼓勵，我想他們明年的技術都會有很大的進步。
Prof Velev 說這首歌曲實在不適合這個組別的參賽者，因爲該樂章的技術要求對他們來講是太高，不過他很高興，因爲這幾位參賽者都能夠做到基本的要求。
評判同時亦很詳細地解釋每一小段應該怎樣去演繹，這是非常難得的，如同上大師班一樣，很精彩。

唔好意思, 你講第四名呢度唔係好明, 因為通常只有1,2,3名. 他們年紀多大? 首歌咁難, 係咪前三甲都比較大個呢 ? 唔好意思, 咁多問題.

我唔好意思，搞到你有誤會。名次只有三個。除了第一名成績超班外，我先生說其他第二、三名都相若。此外，都有幾位沒有名次的參賽者拉得不錯，其中一位其實都拉得幾好（雖然不及第一名），但欠一點兒運氣，可能有一點緊張，甩佐個音。但評判都給這位參賽者頗高的分數，相信與第2、3名距離得不太遠。所以我覺得評判除了給1、2、3名參賽者應得的分數外，都給于其他參賽者很大的鼓勵。
如果以這個組別來説，參賽者年紀有接近要求的歲數，但亦有年紀較輕的小學生。有時候單看外表很難看得出真實的年齡。

題外話：令千金是否都有參賽？是哪個組別？她今年進了APA開心嗎？跟她的老師夾不夾？大家不妨在這裡多交流。

小女進了APA後, 感覺不錯, 只是香港既學生實在太多功課, 可以練琴既時間實在太小, 與老師要求既練習時間還有一段距離.

Dear all,

My girl is 6 & starts violin 1/2 yr ago.   

Sometimes I would like to tell her some stories of the pieces or composers.   Do the mami/teachers  here have any suggestions or recommendations for website about music for CHILDREN?  

Since I wish the info to be simple & interesting.
