Dear all, especially 2D parents,

Pupils have brought a camera and taken some school photo earlier.  Do they need to submit the Project on the topic of My school in Powerpoint? Have any class done it already?
As long as I remember, there hasn't any request for Project Learning HW in the Handbook.

If needed, it's too late coz my son have already slept.

Have you asked Mr. Wong about the tense of the paragraph "It's raining today...."?

For my daughter told me that Ms. Wong had told all of them that both Present Continous Tense and Present Tense can be used on that part this morning.

I just wonder why she knew that we all was discussing the topic here

I also think that she is a good teacher, at least she don't mind to tell her students that she had made a mistake in the above said issue.

My daughter likes her very much ga!    

At least she don't like any other well experience teachers, she will not scold any student loudlyand my daughter said that she just told the whole class that if she stares at anyone angrily that means she is getting angry. That's a good method to teach little child, you should let them know first before you lose temper, otherwise they will be scared by your sudden scolding.

I think the new teachers coming this year all seems quite good, although they may have not enough experience than the existing teachers, at least they have a kind heart and enthusiasm in teaching, don't you all think so?

Yes,I asked her abt this "It's raining...." .She told me that she thought  and asked some native speakers for the tense in these few days.At last,she told the whole class abt both tenses can use.I think she tried her best to help the class.

Oh,my son does not know how to do the maths again.............................................

I was also greatly shocked when my son took home with a very low mark test paper and I am kind of relieved a bit after learning that the general score has dropped with the 'difficult' paper.

Yes, I do care about the marks and my kid also feels quite disappointed and ashamed of the low mark but the most important thing is to make sure they know why the mistakes happen.

Agree that we have to stand by our kids and support them. Let's work hard, moms!

Oh! I see, I just wonder may be Ms. Wong also knows and enters this website. Actually, the questions about tenses in the test papers are really critical,  I think may be the teachers just wanted to make some more difficult questions to the children to try, if they made simple questions by putting some hints e.g. everyday, yesterday etc. the children could answer the questions easily. However, did they think these kind of questions even an adult just like all of us, who cannot make sure the answers, how can a 7 years old child understand and make the correct answers leh?! 佢地真係走火入魘!

Regarding the exam, just try our best is OK! I think the teachers are mean to make the test papers to be more difficult than before, but I don't think the exam papers will be as difficult as the test papers. If most of the students failure in the subjects, that's still a problem for them, right! Anyway, we can only try our best, some subjects like English or Chinese , their level actually cannot be updgraded in a short period of time. So we just try our best and relax la!

All P2 students received an Eng Lit review sheet.  It is very useful as compared with the book.
Did your son or P3 student get that?

I think it's great to have the revision sheet otherwise, the syllabus is quite wide to focus. Although the book is quite thin, it's still a lot to digest, right? I would rely on this and study.

yes, I rely on that too. 今年轉左書,我連佢本書都未看過,點同佢讀呢....大件事...oh my god!

Book 2B, Ch2 不是教了的嗎? 因為Work Book已做埋.
不過阿囝話果幾個字好深, 不太肯remember (Group, Physical, Cultural) 但我會tum佢要記住!

Just a second thought on the "It's raining today."

"It's raining today. Peter stayed at home and watched TV.  Mary helped her mother to clean the house.  They behaved very well SO THAT their mum gave them some candies."

The paragraph looks like a diary telling us something was happened today SO THAT their mum GAVE them some candies.  

I am new to this news group and just would like to share my opinion.

In fact, there are many ways to explain the paragraph.

They should give marks in any reasonable answers.

As the paragraph is started by "It is raining today...." It is raining now, so all the actions should not be occurred at the past. So I think past tense is not applied. If the paragraph starts with " It was raining....", then I think past tense can be used.

The sentence follows should use the same tense as the starting sentence, for it is raining, so at the same time the children have the said actions, it is raining on one hand and they have the said actions on the other hand, so the raining and the actions occurred at the same time, and should be using the same tense.

For present tense, as they will have these kinds of activities/actions everytime when it is raining, so present tense which can help to express the habitual actions.can also be applied  in the paragraph too.

These are my opinion. Anyway, I think this kind of critical question is not appropriate for a P2 student. However, it is a good question for all of us(adult), for I can understand the tenses more clearly after discussing with all of you here!!   

Anyway, the assessment has been over, we and our lovely child is facing another challenge now. Only two days left. All moms work hard now and play hard after the exam la!!

Hello, 終於考完式喇!! 感覺好自由呀!! 無論成績如何, 我覺得今次小朋友都好盡力啦, 所以好開心, 下午我放假和他一起 吃他喜愛的食物, 約了個同學仔一起來家玩, 星期日一家人去做下運動, 考完試後吸口空氣都好似特別清新D喎, 你地會同小朋友去邊度wet呀?
