Dear all,

I got 2 boys and am attracted by the theme of YW Primary school.   I also would like to apply for this school for my son.  Therefore, I visit this forum from time to time.  Your sharing is really valuable to me.

I learnt from mayc's message that YW will held a talk on 如何培養優秀男孩講座 on 9/7, I would also like to have a handout on this topic.

Grateful if anyone could pass a copy to me after the talk.   I could send the kindest guy my email address.

Just checked with the school.  The report card will be distributed on 7/13.  No need to see the parents this time unless you receive a notice from the school.

下星期三拿成績表,我都唔緊張喇...因為個仔寫低試卷分數喇~~所以知道個仔平均分高過上學期...我已經夠開心喇...就算今次拿唔番個名次都唔緊要啦~~最緊要有用心考試嗎!

各位家長, 請問你們有無聽聞學校会改上課時間, 唔知公佈咗未呢?  昨天打電話回校, 有位Ms. Ho 告訴我小一開學初期頭兩天返半曰, 而且在暑假期間班主任会約見每一個家庭以了解他的家庭背景, 性格之類, 又讓小朋友先見下班主任, 等他們返學時更易適應, 学校這個安排十分好.

    但由於我並沒有兒子在呢間學校就讀, 丈夫也不是畢業生, 更沒有任何親屬為校董會成員 ,那麼若我給仔仔參加自行分配派位是否一點機會也沒有呢?

昨天參加學校中小學一條龍水運會,小三至中三的學生全部出席,中學校長李校長再三強調中小學一條龍的辦學政策不變,而且會有更多類似的活動舉辦.
我覺得李校長並沒有嫌棄我們小學生,在場內親切地與小學家長,學生交談,一如以往,而且我也感受到他對神的信心,在人不能,在神凡事都能!令我為自己的小信感到非常慚愧

Thanks very much for sharing such positive statement from Principal Lee as well as the clarification from Headmistress Lam!
I think those rumors of "disconnection" of the "through train policy" and swifting to DSS should come to the end at this stage. And I think we parents should clarify any doubts/rumors directly with school administration before spreading "the hearsay news" here to avoid any unnecessary disturbance!

But in the recent consultation on the proposed language policy of secondary schools, our PTA seems to be very passive and has NOT taken any positive steps to collect and voice out parents' views to EMB! Any scattered, individual submissions by the parents directly to EMB, are so weak, in my view!
In my view, PTA should form some sort of "concern group" on the proposed policy as it may have very huge and direct impact on our school! I of course will express my said view directly to the Headmistress/PTA Chairman in due course.

今晚的音樂會演出成功，在此多謝各位老師、指揮及一班家長義工。在入場時，我在門口逗留了十幾二十分鐘等候家人，看見門口的義工家長向每一個進來的訪客都介紹音樂會的鎖匙扣公仔，非常落力，（所得是用作音樂發展的）我就衷心的appreciate 他們的付出。尤其當想到各位都是騰空義務幫手的。

星期六晚我也有去音樂會,同學們的表現都很好,要run好一間學校的甘多樂團,真係唔簡單!matthew14/7,也會去弦樂團面試,不過能否參加,都要看來年的練習時間.
  
請問大家星期六早上有否聽talk?

Originally I've applied the talk "如何培養優秀男孩講座", however, I'm also the music-parent-helper-team. It was too busy in preparing the music concert on 9/7 and so no time to participate the talk. Can anyone 聽完分享一下?

雖然星期六抽唔到工作圬,但只係聽講座都已有得著,黃成智講師講野好有point呀~~~正呀!
他常提起做家長要身教,教一套同做一套,會直接影響小朋友成長發展! 佢講左好多佢同自己仔仔成長路程,佢仔現在已經13歲喇!

聽星期六的音樂會，我們小朋友的平均水平比去年的確進步了很多，而且很廣，差點可以比美音樂小學。

辛苦了，看見你們一班漂亮的媽媽們不但跑來跑去幫忙帶小朋友，還要在後台搬搬抬抬的，真的有點於心不忍，那些爸爸都到那去了？
